We announced our dates today. LPGE is happening July 27-29. We'll be back at the Irving Convention Center in Las Colinas.

Low Tier City is coming back, the National Smash tournament, and we've added Kumite in Texas, a new eSports branch of the convention brought to you by NGage. More announcements to follow.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Any homebrewers/developers/distrubitors interested in coming out?

The developer tables are super cheap, as we encourage the creation of new games. If there were a group of NES devs willing to come out, we'd be willing to set something up special for you guys. Think about it.

WEEKEND LONG POPULATION HIGH SCORE TOURNAMENT!

As discussed late last year on the Completely Unnecessary podcast with Pat and Ian, the SimCity prototype for the Nintendo Entertainment System finally surfaced. Not only was it previewed at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, but it landed in the hands of a collector in Dallas. And they’re going to let us play on it… all weekend.

It’s a high-score tournament on one of only two known copies of this game. It’s been hidden away for 25 years. Now is your chance to build the city of your dreams… on the NES.

Rules
Time(s) it will occur: All Weekend
Game Version: NES
Game Settings: Players will have 10 minutes. Goal is to achieve the highest population total in give amount of time.
Other Rules: Tournament will use the Practice mode.

Just posted over on the VB forums, should probably share here, too.

Every year we have our two-player setup with Hyper Fighting modded out to a projector so you can watch people play. This year, we're going to be showcasing not only HF, but Mario Tennis, TicTacToe, and 3D Battlesnake!!!

If you're in the North Texas area, I highly recommend coming out. We'd do more setups, but I kept getting out bid all year on new units.
