Made a new Super Mario Hack called Super Mario Land 3. The game features 79 levels 96 exits.
The Interest Check would be for a Exclusive, Numbered and One Time only Special Edition Release

Package

The Package will include the Numbered: box, Cart, Manual, and a dustcover.The manual is in both English and French and it is over 40 pages long!

 

Price

At the time the estime of a Price for 1 numbered release is 125 dlls CIB plus shipping. We are working hard to bring the price down. Also the more people that show interest, the easier it is to bring the cost down.

More Details

The Special Edition release will have an exclusive Rom used only for this game, and will be exclusively released by Retro Quest.

Regular Release?

There are plans for a Regular edition release with a shorter manual with English only, diferent Covert art and different Rom, this release will not be numbered.

This thread is meant to be a head count for the Special Edition.

Part of the revenue will go to the developers to encourage more hacks and homebrew.

just because I'm curious, is this one of the games that you were looking to release with a new pcb and shell so that there were no donors? doesn't bother me either way, just thought it'd be kind of neat to see new boards being made

This will use Donors. 

New PCBS require more than 250 Pieces to manufacure hehe.

But we are working in New carts that are burned already assembled. Future plans for 2013., but thats another story.

does it play smooth as mario world or does it have a hack feel. return to dino land was pretty much exactly the same gameplay feel. just wondering if this is the same

Still no quote for Regular Release as We are cutting down the Manual to English only and cutting down some pages. Depends on production Cost.

This is not the Return to Dinosaur Land Hack, it is way different. But I wouln't know how to explain if it feels like a hack or a SMW feel. When I was playing it was good, but my skills on the keyboard are bad. I got to play it on my Super UFO before I make a cart.

If you guys want, while I'm busy editing the Limited Edition version of the ROM, I can take some more screenshots. Being able to jump to any location on the map sure makes screenshots easier. I also have a recently completed save file if I ever need it.

All the interest in this thread brings a big smile to my face. I think the 2008 me would have been pretty thrilled to know this game would eventually see a CIB release, haha.

Not sure how well I can answer your question, seeing how I designed the hack and all, but as far as "smoothness" or "likeness" to Super Mario World, at the very least, I tried very hard to comb the levels and maps of any glaring flaws, like broken graphics or any issues like that.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I do have a demo of the near final version of the game. A small number of levels are playable. Here's the download link:

I'd be interested as long as it's not choppy and such and sounds real, I've played many roms that don't have good sound at all. Not sure if it's the rom, or my laptop, or the emulator itself.

Just beat the first level. To me it has a Super Mario World feel to it. I'm really liking it.

Edit: First castle done, I'm loving this game. It can be challanging, but I'm really enjoying it.
