I am the person that is currently selling the factory sealed copy of Stadium Events on EBay. I was told by Angel (the $13,100 lady) to get with all of you and get some good suggestions. This has gone completely crazy and I've been told that this is just the tip of the iceberg! Wow.
I probably have gotten emails from some of your members as we have gotten a ton of good ideas but you can never have enough.
To think that a week ago we didn't have a clue that we had this game. We were really getting ready to donate everything to GoodWill (for a tax writeoff). If I hadn't seen the news coverage on Angel's sale, I never would have known. Crazy!
Thanks, I hear one of your members has the other copy and is close to completing his NES collection. That is pretty cool.
Check out my YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheNEScollector You'll love it!
gauauu: look, we all paid $10K at some point in our lives for the privilege of hanging out with Kevin
The history is really a bunch of dumb luck or someone upstairs is looking after us.
It's hard to remember all the facts since we had/have over 185 games (found a couple more than the 175 we reported on EBay) but I do remember something about being miffed about buying a game that we took home. When we realized it needed a pad (if you look at the price tag - it is covering the picture of the pad) we went back to the store (maybe a day or two later). I think, by then the recall had happened and we weren't able to get a pad. We left, fully intending to go home and eventually return the game...which never happened. What a lucky thing for us to NOT do!
For the remaning games, we should have all the boxes for them. Where can I go to find out what they might be worth? Or should I ask this in the NES section?
I'm still shaking my head as to how close we were to giving them away to Goodwill just to clear space in the basement!

I really don't know where that myth got started (about Woolworths). I saw it on a Wiki page which means anyone could have put it there...not sure where that came from but it is obviously false. We got it at a store called Richmond Gordmans. It is a general merchadise store - they sell everything. A long time ago they dropped the name "Richmond" and just became "Gordmans". I've seen them in other cities but they might just be in the midwest.
That's all I know about that. L8R
WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles. I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english. Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have. I am interested in anything I don't already have!
