If that is the case with hitting the opponent in Jam, I'd recommend ruling against abuse (or just removing the event and doing Race + Freestyle)

Maybe replace the jam with the ramp high jump and stipulate that each inch is worth 100 points.

I like this, but we shouldn't add an event at this point cause it would disadvantage scores that are already posted. I feel like cancelling the Jam event would be the easiest choice, so if nobody express a strong disapproval, we'll go that route. Good?

I'm fine with subbing in high jump. Took a pic of that score too.

Please no high jump. I tried it and couldn't get my guy up there once. But I can't get anything to work in this game. I am fine leaving jam in with no point racking, only because it is late in the week to be changing stuff. Someone out there might be working really hard on jam to get a nice score and might not log on everyday to see the rule changed.

The problem is that "really working hard" on the jam consists of abusing the hell out of the opponent since that is the only significant scoring mechanism on the run.

Not really a fan of the controls in this one, but what can you do.

10,093 + 9705 + 9812

29,610 (with all 3)

19,798 (if we exclude the Jam)

True, which leads to a contradiction cause even if he 'worked hard' on the Jam, the point racking rule would still ruin his 'efforts'.

It is simply the best decision to abandon the Jam. We have two very solid events in the Freestyle and Downhill Race, and the Jam would ruin their value cause you can get more points abusing Lester in Jam than in the other events combined. When we played California games, some events were practically useless to the final score, but at the least, the two events that were responsible of most of the score were sound. The opposite would have been problematic, which is the case here with Skate or Die.

Glad you like it BryGuy, the controls are a bit hard to get used to at first but once you get a hold of them, there's something fantastic in this early skateboard game.

Guillavoie, I saw your old score form the last time this game was played in the contests... I'm super impressed that you were able to break 24K in the freestyle. How the hell did you do it?? Lol I'm guessing that you were able to throw in some hand grabs on the 720's? I'm not able to do it with any consistency, although I have been able to get a few 2600 point jumps and once I did land a 2900 point jump. But never while being able to complete a clean run...

Indeed bro, the trick is in masterizing the grab + 720. Very hard to achieve consistently, and the max AFAIK (and other skate or die adept) is 2 grabs for a 2900 points trick. Pulling five of them in a row (combined with the other tricks) is hard as ballz!

Yeah, I tried and tried to land those 2600k point jumps in with a routine but just couldn't put it all together. This is probably gonna be it for me this week. I'm glad I was finally able to figure this game out though, it kicked my ass for way to long.

You put up some solid scores, 17,413 for the Race is no joke. Good job kicking this game's ass!

For the life of me,I can't seem to time the jumps right in the race, especially on the water parts. I've played it a crapload of times and have only made those jumps twice. Is it really that tough to make or do I just suck ass at the event!
