Not crazy for me, probably around 700 physical (downsized a bit recently). If I include digital maybe another 100

Also around 500, I haven't bought any games for quite some time. My collection is pretty much done besides a few knick knacks, I only collect games I want to play, not a full set collector.

No idea. 1100 SNES + NES alone, so probably 1500-2000.  I'd say it probably hasn't grown overall in 3-4 years.

Down to the last 2 Sega Game Gear games I need for the CIB USA set. What I will pay for CIB:

Fantastic Dizzy -$300 & Sports Illustrated -$300

This is actually really interesting thread, since the variance can be pretty great even though we're all in the same hobby. Don't forget to mention if they're complete/boxed and or if it's all physical or digital.

Just broke 900.. all are CIB/CB (except digital of which there are maybe 20-30ish). All great games too!

I also notice my "collecting" slowing down considerably, mainly getting new games these days (or "new" games, two latest pickups were Collection of Mana (= Trials of Mana) and Bloodstained - Curse of the Moon). I've been reading this book called "1001 Video games you must play before you die" and I really like the idea of owning the library of my personal 1001 games to play before I die, now there's a collecting goal for ya.

-------------------------
It's been a long time since I realized, I'm not building a great collection, but a great library.

At peak I was 2373 all physical. Now it is much less. 15 physical and maybe 80 digital if you include mods on mini consoles.

On a more serious note, I've played EarthBound today for so long, I feel all tense and mentally worn out.
Then you called your mother and felt better?

Just shy of 800 physical at the moment. That reflects the selloff of my SNES collection earlier this year, as well as some more recent attempts to bulk up on the NES low-end. Mostly NES, but lots of other early 8-bit as well.

I figure I'm just above 1000 physical games. 2-3% are CIB discs, the rest are loose cartridges. 2-3% of the cartridges are for home consoles, the rest are for portables.

How big is yours these days? Over the years I've been re-reading many posts of yours, and am genuinely curious where your collection is these days.

I just passed 500 games last time I counted. Which looking at them all doesn't even seem like that much. But numbers-wise that sounds like a lot since I'll never have time to play them all. I want to get it back down to 300 or so but it's too hard to decide which ones to purge.

In the 7000s but tons of it is cart only (100s of Famicom, Game Boy, NES, etc.). I've always wanted a library of "every game" to play or at least the consoles I'm into. Now that I'm somewhat there I've shifted more focus towards CIB.
