I'm just really curious to see how the ROM behaves when you cycle back to the beginning hehe.

phht. I did it....it just goes back to the SMB title screen with no menu (like you get when you first start SMB on the competition cart) and starts you up again just as before. I had enough time left over in my one run to see that the "second quest" is still in the ROM though, I saw a buzzy beetle before I was OOT. I ended with a whopping 200 pts!

Was kinda expecting this but fun to polish up on my old skillz

/I suck at tetris, and have not played Rad Racer since the Xmas it came out and there was a demo at Woolworth's. What, 20 years ago? Okay time to play the cart as it's intended hehe...

Jason, my first try 469640 looks like you beat me by a tetris I suck so bad though I had like eight gaps in my stack hehe. This is fun! Barely feels like 6 minutes I bet the competition really flew for everyone back in 1990 (except maybe the parents hehe)

^^ Sweet ^^ I nearly broke 500k on my first go around, I should be able to break a million pretty easy with some practice.

My 2nd attempt 692365 and I really screwed up on Tetris. Rad Racer and SMB are easy stuff. I can easily no wreck Rad Racer. Just have to get better and Tetris and maybe read Thor's tips, still haven't done that.

The timing is off on my rom, it only goes 4 and half minutes, I am only able to barly break 100,000.  The longest run in tetris so far has only been like 20 seconds.  Oh well, gives me some practice before I get a cart.

To anyone who bought this cart, there is a revision to the manual that Bunnyboy didn't get in on time. So, you may have the OMGRAREBBQ version of the manual. The updated one fixed a lot of stupid errors I made, but added a page that was missing at the end too. If you bought this, and only if you bought this, send me a PM, and I'll get you the .pdf of it. Just please promise me you won't share it with anyone else who hasn't bought the game, OK? I just want to make sure Bunnyboy is fully supported. If you do share it with someone else who HAS bought the game, make sure they take the same oath, lol.

But, just to be sure, If there is no Sealie Seal of Approval on the front and back and there is no page 14 entitled Compliance with NWC Regulations, then you have the earlier one.

Things like jumping on the turtle in level 1-3 instead of 3-1 and stuff?

I don't need the PDF, I'll just buy another later hehe thanks though. Sealie of Approval that's a riot!

Got mine today: 12 and 22. Weird thing, and don't know why, but I have to press Start on controller 1 to start the comp and play with controller 2. Maybe the NES? Maybe my brain?

And first attempts have me around 400k; I'd never played Rad Racer till today. I think something in the first two games is taking me too long. I need a new strategy.

There is a video (posted by Dangevin I think) about a guy who broke like 3 million posted on youtube. I do exaclty what he does for SMB. Rad Racer is just skill and a little luck to be honest. The traffic can be very easy to get around one game, and very hard the next. I have found my favorite Tetris pattern is when I score 10300 on SMB. That is when I can make some made Tetris points with that pattern. I tried 10400 and even though Thor said that was the best # to rack up on, I couldn't do shit with it. Look likes my high score on bunnyboys site is holding up for now.....Link

Got my two yesterday...  The one which I opened the bag on was cart #6, and had the first (errored) manual variant.  The other that I didn't open...well, kinda wanting to leave it sealed for collection purposes, but I also kinda want to have it open in the event I am able to hold a tournament.

Btw, rbudrick, and this mostly out of curiosity...is there any way I could just buy one of the new manuals?

Edit:  Just gave my #6 cart its inaugural play, and promptly put up a score (which I'm proud of, since I never got better than 115,000 on emulators) of 291,595.  I didn't time it, but it felt good playing it..exponentially better than any emulator I ever played.  This game is genuinely one of the most fun games I've ever played.  Thanks again, bunnyboy!

Well, I only have the pdf. BunnyBoy printed the manuals. I'm hoping he only printed enough of the first version for the first batch.

I'd gladly give you one if I had them, but I don't. I've got the pdf, though.

So who owns 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19?

Whenever I try the timer cheat as discussed in the manual, it never works. It's the one where you need to hold A as you are pressing Start. I'm doing it on the 2nd controller when I start the game. What am I doing wrong?
