As of today, NintendoAge, along with SegaAge, will be removing the chat link at the top of the forum page.

Chat has long been an issue and the best, fastest, and easiest way to rectify the situation.

I am sorry that it came to this, but this is a decision that we felt was in the best interest of the forums and its members.

It sucks, but with all of the bullshit that was surrounding chat for the past few months, I'm not surprised.

It's sad, because for all the shitty nights in chat, there were 10 times as many nights that were full of fun, jokes and good times. I've made a lot of friends on NA through chat, so it really sucks to see it shutting down.

I never really went there in the first place, but it's a shame it had to come to this. I hope some type of punishment was enforced on the people who ruined it for everyone.

On another forum that I frequent, we usually just go to tinychat.com. There's a thread telling people when/where to go and whatnot.

No one ruined chat as far as I know. It looks to me just like an evolution of what NA is as a website. As it continues to grow, a website like this really doesn't need an "official" unmoderated cam chat room because of liability issues. This doesn't mean the community shouldn't have their own chats. Just not something NA can be held accountable for.

That's just my perspective.

Oh no, there were problems causing it to be ruined, had little to do with evolution.

Either way, NA has a new one and so does SA run unofficially though, so if someone wants in they're welcome to it. This time though they're moderated to curb the trouble.
