This is a NTSC-J Wideboy 64 AGB to play GBA+GB/C games on.
It was never released to the public only sold to magazines and gamedevelopers for 1200$ piece.

Linkcable is working fine, i've tested playing both GBA+GB/C games on it and used the linkcable feature as well.

i know the AGB version is quite rare especially for NTSC versions.
What do you guys think the estimate price this would sell for on ebay or does anyone have any offers?

Last sales I saw of these muthafuggas was around the $800-$1k mark, but I've seen versions with various stickers etc and don't know whether or not that makes a difference lol

The difference is between gbc and gba that is it. There additional pieces like the cable to gbc or gba that makes that very expensive 1500 I’m pretty sure was last sale on eBay with everything.

Here is a NTSC-J vs NTSC-U Cart Comparison

I have a N64 NTSC-J Console, however it's "modded" so that the plugs are removed, so i can play NTSC-U Games on my console. It's also RGB Modded.
If anyone needs a video of gameplay footade of Wideboy 64 AGB in action let me know.

Will it run unlicensed games? How good is the compatibility?

I've tried Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold, Silver, Zelda 4 swords.
It runs Everdrive GB and GBA.
If you want certain games i could test them for you.

I'm not entirely sure it normally goes for that much, although i'd say mine is in a very good condition, but looking at the specific bidders profile, he seems to be associated with a retro podcast of some sort could be desperate to find one. i bought this ~3 years ago, before i bought it i was looking for a AGB version for atleast 2 years on ebay, i saw one during that time but it was PAL. since i bought mine i have occasionally looked to see what the pricerange would be for these things. I've seen one on ebay NTSC version. it went for around 1000$ however it was in a really really bad condition, it looked almost like the dog had chewed on it or something.

That's actually NTSC-JU because it's made to fit both NA and JP systems (notches are longer than a NA game pak). Also, PAL systems are keyed the same as JP so it will fit those too, but that's where video coding and CIC come into play.

To be fair I was thinking 1.5k to 2k as a fair value, though pretty sure one changed hands on NA for 4 or 5k about 18 months ago.

Can someone please figure out how to reverse-engineer this and make a good quality repro? Alternatively, can someone just hack Pokémon Stadium so we can play any GameBoy game using the transfer Pak? That would be awesome, thanks whoever does that!
