Hi everyone! I'm not sure how active I'll be on here but I'm hoping to find a good community to talk about gaming stuff on occasion.
I'm a pretty big collector of retro game. As far as Nintendo stuff, I focus mainly on Game Boy/GBC, GBA, and DS, but also have a decent Gamecube and Wii library and small-but-nice complete-in-box Super Famicom collection. I really want to start a NES and/or Famicom collection at some point as well but haven't done so yet. The first console I owned myself was a dandelion yellow Game Boy Color which I got for my birthday as a kid along with Super Mario Land 2. I shortly after got Pokémon Gold which became my first big obession. Before that, I had played a lot on my family's NES, mostly trying my best to beat Dragon Warrior, Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda II, and Metroid, as well as Pokémon Red on a friend's original Game Boy.
I'm pretty into pixel art and chiptune, and love the aesthetics of the 16/Early 32-bit era in general. My favorite Nintendo console is probably the Game Boy Advance SP with the Super Famicom being a close second, I'm a big DS Lite fan too.
I'm also an indie game developer (mostly on the art/design side) with one commericial release so far called Super Slime Arena which started as a class project with me and a college friend. We recently signed with a publisher to help us bring it to Switch so it'll hopefully be more appropriate for this forum soon enough. I'm not really here to talk about my own games here but if you're interested you can follow us on
Twitter or check out the Steam page in my signature.
I hope that's a decent introduction. I'd someday love to make something for a retro console so maybe this'll be the place that starts! Feel free to call me Oskar, Oki, or my username. See you around!
