I just started collecting about a month ago, and found NintendoAge.   I have decided to collect cart only (except for a few), but I wouldnt pass a good deal on anything if I found it.  I have about 150 nes so far, 30 or so snes, and a few 64 games.  Im really into the castlevania series, currently my main wants are chronicles on PS1 and Dracula X on super.  Im currently playing S.O.T.N. on PS1 (in my top 10 all time).  I have made a few good finds in the wild recently.....Gun-Nac for 5 bucks, and Contra for 3 bucks, and Found a Super Mario/Duck Hunt at the good will for a buck. 

So do you guys have any hints on collecting?
What would you pay for a fairly common cart, if you did'nt have it?
Anyone got any cool castlevania stuff?  Anyone know of the castlevania (box art) poster you sent off for back in the day.....I tore mine down when I was a kid and shredded it (teenage stupidity), now I want it back!!!!

Best tip for collecting is don't push to get too much too fast. You'll burn out and get frustrated when the pace slows. Never chase commons either, they'll fall into place in your collection all on their own. It's like Magic Trust me on this.

Gun-Nac for $5 is a great deal not only valuewise but playwise, it's one of the best titles for the system even though it's just a "shmup"

Yeah dangevin, Gun-Nac is an awesome Starfighter shooting game.  Its story is way out there.  I mean Giant Bunny invaders that shoot carrots......I love it.  This game may have in some way inspired the Raving Rabbids.  It's a lot like Zanac in other reguards and thats not so bad.
