Not going to allow that because it would be somewhat similar to a protective bid (which I referenced above).. Someone could bid $1000.00 from a minimum of $10.00 and keep anyone from bidding against them, what's the point when someone bid $1,000, and get the item for $11.00..

Of course someone could also be mean and bid $999 and force the guy to pay that amount... Problem comes in if that guy is not really willing to pay that he just did it to get it.

Just bid what you want to pay and if you are the highest you will get it.

Anyway as Frisbee said lets get to bidding, It is the last day there isn't going to be any sort of changes.

Well we aren't debating making any changes. That was clarified long ago after the mods chimed in. You just seemed to misunderstand what I was saying, so I was trying to clarify.

Also, you might clarify whether or not your Flat Rate Shipping prices include shipping to Canada. I didn't see where you specified the rates were for domestic only, if they are. Maybe I missed it.

Got it.. understood..

Anyway I did forget to clarify the shipping.. those rates are domestic (US) only.. International will be on a case by case basis.. I do know that the USPS does offer flat rates to canada and just a quick check looks like by the time packing material is added the rate would double. So $30.00 for up to 10 games on a Flat rate. I am pretty sure I can stick with that. as well as $12.00 for a single game flat rate (but this is only for Canada) all other countries are probably different and more..

I don't see the big problem here. Dov charges $15 a game shipped from Canada to the US.

Ya because Dov uses UPS,thats why its so high.Using USPS international it should be aroung $8 unless the price went up in the last week.

Yes, but bubble wrap and other packaging materials are not free.. Also that is not the rate you have to pay if you read the section - other options are available. If you want it sent first class in the end I will figure that out for you. Those are just rates that I can guarantee and I can do that only because I know how much Shipping and the Box are going to cost me then I can just judge the extra costs..

You may find that shipping via Priority is actually cheaper than first class in some cases because of the cost of materials.

We are not really going to get into another thing over shipping now are we... This is one area where I do know what I am doing as I ship all over the world in my normal business..

From the US Post office website: Shipping - Small Flat Rate box to Canada  $11.45 Post Office Price. Meduim Flat Rate Box $26.95. I have listed $12.00 and $30.00 for these I don't think $.55 - $3.05 is too much for Additional shipping supplies.. In actuality should be higher especially for bubble wrap in the Medium box (bubble wrap and popcorn isn't cheap). Probably should be $13.00 and $32.00 but I will leave it at the $12/$30

In all reality I probably would not suggest the Small Flat Rate Priority box as there is not a whole lot of protection on the spines.. It is sort of a speed vs. protection trade off on that one. It should be OK but you never know.

Now back to the bidding.... (hopefully...)

I noticed you added the Canada rates to your OP - you might even put them in BOLD CAPS so that they stick out a bit. I know there are a couple bidders in this thread that might be concerned with this. Doesn't affect me, just trying to help out.

I can ship a CIB to Canada for about $6 First Class, in a box. I just did it two days ago (I think actual cost was $5.85). I would be careful with how much you're trying to factor in for "packaging". I can understand a fair charge for a bigger purchase of a dozen or so games where you have to buy boxes and peanuts, but a lot of members here might bristle at the being charged more than $1 or so on smaller purchases. Bubble-wrap IS cheap: you can get 200 ft. for $20 at Office Max (I actually got it cheaper on sale); at a dime a foot, the math doesn't argue in your favor if you're charging $3.00 for supplies on a $27 flat rate where the box is free from the PO. Just a heads up so you aren't shocked if somebody complains.

Yeah, sorry, but if I win Arkanoid, I'm not Paying you $15 to ship it to me since it won't fit in a small flat rate box.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! read the shipping note..

The rates listed are ONLY for Priority and ONLY for Flat Rate.

OTHER SHIPPING options are available and will VARY in price.. these ARE NOT the only prices or rates.

Shipping Is based on actual cost + Packing. This WILL vary depending upon how much protection you want, How Heavy your Package is, How Far it is Traveling (from California) and How fast you want it.

I can always just throw it in a box for you and not protect it at all if that is what you want and it would be the Cost of Shipping + The Box..

The standard nes CIB fits great in a flat rate box for $4.95 shipped. you can take all the packages at once, and there shouldnt really be a $1 overheard charge for packaging since it free. Like jonathan said, you can even protect the NES game in the small flat rate with some bubble wrap and it would only cost you a dime a foot. Just a friendly suggestion

for the US: (as in the postage section of this auction)

Flat Rate small Box $4.95 + Delivery Confirmation $.70 + $.35 for Packing Supplies = $6.00 TOTAL..  That is how it was priced... I don't really want to ship without Delivery Confirmation as i want to know it gets to where it should Go..

ahhh DC Makes sense. If you pay online though (no weight needed, its flat rate obviously, and you just print on standard white paper and tape it on), you won't have to pay the stupid extra .70 10 packages = $7 in savings. Just trying to help out!

like I have said over and over.. that is for Priority mail which is a step-up from first class. It is not a required option (and has never been said as such).. First Class is available. The rates that are listed are rates that I can Guarantee as I know what all the costs involved with them are. Anything else will vary depending on type of Shipping, Packing, and protection required.

I just checked and more than likely a First Class International Package to Canada would be about $6.00 - $7.00 for a single game. Depending on what I can find for a shipping box and the final weight of everything. It still could be less than this but this is a really rough estimate as nothing is set yet.

In cannot help that it costs money to ship and pack things.. it is part of the cost of buying things..

Brion..

In Brion's defense. don't bitch about shipping prices. As long as they're stated up front, it's your choice as a bidder if you want to buy it or not. On another note, I've shipped to Canada priority and really $12 for a single is not terrible. You definitly get a better bang for your buck if you ship multiple items, but a single game can easily cost $12 priority to Canada.

I am just going to post I will be here for the reminder of the auction in order to answer any questions. I will be checking every few minutes to see if there is anything.

Please NO more in thread I can't believe shipping costs so much entries.. If you have a specific question about shipping and what it might cost for a different method PM me and I will do my best to give you an idea. For all concerned I am not going to screw you on shipping. If you have been following this you can see what my basis is and can also get a few ideas of what it may cost. The rules state what shipping consists of and always have. I only have added the guaranteed rates if those methods are by which you choose to have your winnings shipped.

Please have fun and Happy Bidding....

I will update as quickly as I can for new bids to keep the list current however the best is to look at the forum..

For everyones benefit please do not post anything but bids within the last 30 minutes.

Thank you
Brion Sohn
