Hi Chris from the US.  I'm based in Taiwan and have been a Nintendo fan since 1986.  I joined Nintendo Age to get into contact with more collectors and fans of classic video games since most of my friends view this as a sort of an unusual, but fun hobby.  

I'm really looking forward to joining a new community and learning more about our favorite past time.  

I have a small-ish collection that I add to when I find a good deal.  I'm rebuilding after my mom did that most "mom-ish" of things - give away my games in storage while I was off at college!  I'm definitely a player-collector.  I generally hunt for titles based more around how much fun they are to me than how rare a title is, but I love reading when someone finds/lands a major title (like that Stadium Events thread I saw yesterday!)

Some of my favorite titles to play:
- Dragon Warrior/Quest series (3 and 4 in particular)
- Dynamite Heady
- Banjo Kazooie
- Final Fantasy 8
- DQ: Rocket Slime
- Ducktales
- Mario Kart 8
- Super Mario Galaxy

Welcome! Good selection of games there...Mario Kart 8 is the best in the series, DuckTales holds a lot of nostalgia for me, and Banjo-Kazooie is one of my favorite titles ever.

I definitely emphasized the more modern generations.  I figure everyone on this board has collective love for Contra, Tetris, Jackal and Bubble Bath Babes!

Welcome to the world of aging and Nintendo! Oddly enough I have only played Banjo Kazooie once, and for like a handful of minutes. One day I'll get back to it. Maybe.

Currently playing through: Shining in the Darkness. Because some times you need to wander aimlessly in first person perspective through a maze with no distinctive marking and impress a king to go into another maze, to save his daughter. Plus I use any excuse to get more time with my Genesis now that I have HD Retrovision component cables for it.
