Two more today...

Def Jam Vendetta GC -$6
Madden 2002 xBox -$2

Heard that Def Jam games are going up in price, not this one apparently. That's okay, I used to play it as a kid with friends so the nostalgia is worth it. Daunte Culpepper graced this minty copy of Madden 2002 for the xBox. Normally don't pay more than $1 for sports games I need, but it was clean and local, so in my collection it goes.

I'm just curious, how do you guys upload photos? I have an old PB account, but that's a lot of work. Any other sites that are better for it (preferably something I can upload too from my phone)?

imgur for the win.
That, or you could attach it. It may not work on mobile though.

Imgur x2.

I used to use NA's built-in, but it did unpredictable things with the sizing and was slow.

A plus with imgur is that you can copy+paste one forum-friendly link (bb tags, I think) into your thread. Then, the image will auto-resize based on the browser's detected settings.

Christmas Eve! Nothing like N64 games on Christmas. It was quite the flashback.

I'll post a full list in the morning of the N64 stuff, but I also got these:

-Backyard Basketball PS2
-Hot Shots Golf PS2
-MVP Baseball NCAA 06 Ps2

-$40 gamestop gift card (will be used towards the purchase of a WiiU, eventually)

Yo, I just saw you PM'd me a while back. I thought my inbox was full of quote notifications so I accidentally deleted it. Mind resending it?

Sorry about that.

In addition to retro gaming, I also enjoy eSports. I get that not everyone is into them, but to each their own. I got this yesterday, but my internet was down all day, so I couldn't get anything else done.

Anyway, I bought this just for the box. I'll drink the Red Bull and keep the box for my collection.

A few today, all coming from Half-Price Books. I love going there because they always have rare games. This time they had a copy of Magic Knight Rayearth, a Working Designs title on the Saturn, as well as a bunch of other stuff. They had a copy of Walk-It-Out, but I passed, since I only care to have 1 copy.

I just went for the cheap stuff though:

(xBox)

Rapala Pro Fishing - $1
Counter-Strike Platninum Hits - $2

(PS2)

Arc the Lad Twilight of the Spirits $10
TH American Wasteland $2

Also stopped at the Microcenter, got a terabyte hard drive and a 3 pin fan extension cable for my gaming PC.

I also forgot to mention, if anyone reading this thread (who doesn't already know I guess...) Mills Fleet Farm sells video games. Albeit, most of the stuff I saw was shovelware, it might not be a bad idea to check if you are ever in there.

Also saw some cool video game toys too.

I hate how dead collecting has gotten around here... It will probably pick up during the spring.

In any case, I did have a few finds.

Re-Store ($8 for all):

-NFL 2k1 SAS edtion
-NBA 2k1 SAS edition
-WWF In Your House PS1
-NBA in the zone 2 Ps1
-Dreamcast Web Browser 2.0
-MLBPA Baseball (CIB) Genesis
-Bill Walsh College Football (CIB?) Genesis (I believe this came with scouting report cards that are not in the box, if anyone has these, I'd be interested).
-PGA Tour II CIB Genesis

Pawn Shop ($5, all xbox)

Sims 2
True Crime Streets of LA Platinum hits.
World Series of Poker
(blanking on the other 2, I'll post them later)

One of the cases also had a copy of a Battlefield game for the 360. It went straight into the trade pile for the retro VG store next time I go. Nice little surprise.

The xBox collection is doing well. Nobody seems to want this stuff, so I don't mind taking it off their hands. I'm missing a bunch of key titles though. As soon as I fix my PC, I plan to put everything into Excel so I know what I need and what I have.

EDITED to add:

I have a non-video game convention coming up at the end of January, so this will probably do it for me until mid February or so, we'll see. I haven't budgeted my trip yet. Also, I will try to add pics to my pickups from now on, need to give this thread some color.

I just put my entire xBox collection into Excel, it appears as if I have 135 games out of 887 released in North America. That's not counting Best Seller copies, I have a few more of those.

135 is pretty impressive considering I just started not too long ago. Eventually I might track down Japanese and Euro exclusives as well as variations.

Now I'll go back to the pawn shop and clean them out of the rest of the stuff that I need.

Arc The Lad... I saw this game once at a flea market but it had a nasty scratch on the top label of the disc and I knew it wouldn't play.

Hitman 2 - xBox

I also found a Monster cable, it looks like an audio cord or something. I know people like that brand, so I got it for the purpose of resale.

InterLink 400 MK II Audio cable is what I bought. It looks like a $10 cable. Not bad.

A different post...

Visited Microcenter yesterday, here's what I got:

-Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
-(2) Corsair AF 120s
-Thermal Compound
-Some old PC car game (can't remember what it is off the top of my head)

I should have gotten SP fans instead of AF's, and I should have looked for their 4 pin counterparts, but these will work fine for what I need.

Would you guys be interested in me adding in PC parts pickups? I use my rig for gaming and I'm planning some massive additions to my system.

Also, I'd check Microcenter out if you have one near you. Mine is really trimming down on the console supply (in favor of phones, I guess) but I've found some good deals lurking on the shelves. They also carry emulation consoles and things, USB controllers, etc etc. It's a pretty fun place.

Games were found!

It feels like it's been forever, but in reality it's probably been just a couple of weeks.

I'm guessing the warm-ish weather has prompted people to clean out before it gets cold again. Here's what I got for $7:

-Sonic Mega Collection PS2
-Madden '08 Gamecube (last game published on the system to my knowledge, which is why I bought it).
-(insert 3rd game here when I remember what it was)

Vroooooom....

Wrote a paper, got an A, and I decided to treat myself to some GAMES.

-MX vs. ATV Unleashed (PC)

This has been at GW for a long time, but I have my optical drive hooked up so I figured "Why not?" It looks incredible compared to it's console brothers, not that those don't look nice, this is just more refined

-MX vs. ATV On the Edge (PSP)
-Stick of Truth (360)

I've wanted Stick of Truth for a long time, but I figured I'd wait until I found a copy for $10 or under, and today was that day.

I didn't buy this, but I did find it today. It's a tough to find game on the xBox. It was priced pretty nicely under market value, so I'll be grabbing it soon.

I suggest you get it ASAP, pretty hard to find. I found my copy on a weird thrift store for $8. Also it  works on the Xbox 360 so that's a nice bonus.

Yup. I hit my budget for the week though, so I am going back next week.

It -shouldn't- be gone, but I probably just jinxed myself.
