Saw this ad on GameFAQs for Dr. Pepper. Makes me wonder if there's a marketing team trying to make inroads where Mountain Dew and Doritos are obviously the diet of choice for TRUE GAMERZ



 

I knew a guy who would drink like two or three of these before or during gaming, and would be screaming at the TV in five minutes.

Jolt, disgusting! I used to drink that garbage before.

My brothers and friends used to chew tobacco when playing. They said it helped them focus.

Interesting about Dr. Pepper, I'm not quite sure what their market is currently. I know they tried manliness ads several years ago. They must think they have some kind of base there.

I think I had it one time and felt really loopy for an hour.

If this were like, pre-2016, it would be a handle of vodka + diet coke + pain killers.

Now I rarely game, so I don't have a need for vodka or pain killers.

When I graduated high school, my best friend and I would have lan parties at my house, playing Diablo 2, Worms, and Unreal Tournament 2000... all while downing 3 cases of Dew from 11 PM til 6 AM between the 2 of us.

Those were some good times.

Looks to be college football fans.
 

I lived on mainly on Mt Dew: Code Red and Flamin Hot Cheetos for a time. lol

My snack was the spicy bbq corn chip/twists.

Or Hot Fries.

Now I want both of them....

I used to live on an IV of Mt. Dew...

But thanks to health issues, I have to go diet or real sugar soda, no high fructose corn syrup anymore. I prefer Diet Dr. Pepper and Sierra Mist these days. I'll sometimes mix it up and get Diet Sun Drop or some variation of a "clear" soda...so long as it's not 7-Up or Sprite...god I hate those two as diet drinks.

There's only a few that actually taste good as diet. Dr. Pepper is the best so far. I'm actually debating about going full diet and kicking the extra sugar. While technically I can handle sugar, it's still not healthy.

Dirty Dew is my secret vice.

Beverages of choice include: Coffee, or Sour Beer

Tiger beer gives me sexual powers.

Jolt isn't any different than any other soda. Just marketing. No more caffeine or sugar that a MT Dew or Surge.

I haven't drank soda regularly since college, but it was always Mountain Dew for me.

Those make me loopy, too. I think the citrus sodas have more caffeine than standard colas. Mello Yello also has high caffeine.
