Found lots of crazy things in the back ports of the big PS2's in my day, but never in a cartridge. Good find man.

Very nice find! I would be interested in what you ended up doing with the money (Like did you buy an expensive title with it?).

My fiancee showed me one of the pictures on 9Gag maybe around a week ago. the one with the bills in the cart, not laid out. Was that you, or someone reposted it?

this has reached all over the internet. i was at half price books the other day and seen a kid picking up all the Nes games. I asked him what the deal was and he mentioned he had read a story online about this and that drug dealers in Mexico were using NES carts for smuggling drugs and money into the US and since we were in texas that he might have a good chance of finding games with money in it.

I started laughing and he didn't even know about NA so this story has become an urban legend now

And I don't know why anyone would go through the trouble to get $5,000 in $100 bills to pull off a stunt like this, so it seems legit. Wow...

What a great hiding place for money!!! But apparently, too good of a hiding place, since I'm guessing it was accidentally sold - probably for like $1, haha.

I hope they're not traceable bills, or stolen $$$ from some kind of police sting - it is pretty crazy.

EDIT: You lucky jerk you!  I'm so jealous...

For sure. If I found this I wouldn't have posted it. Least the person who put it there read about it years later or who knows.

That being said. Nice find man. Whoever you are. lol

Pretty amazing. I'm just going to pretend it's not true. It hurts too much otherwise.

And all this talk of the 80's, drug money and leenio's is making me jones.

I am searching for the following SNES manuals:
- Sunset Riders    - TMNT IV: Turtles in Time      - Total Carnage
- Utopia                 - Final Fantasy II
Please PM me if you have one or all of them for sale. While I like nice condition, I am interested in anything 7/10ish up.

Bump to this thread for the new people who saw what the one member found in a Deadly Towers box, as opposed to what this guy found.

Never mind..found it.....

I think if I was to find something like this I wouldnt post it. Look what happened with those folks who found all those gold coins on their property...Feds trying to find a way to confiscate it.
