Pokemon Stadium 2 done.

Wow this game was tough, I would say it took 40-50 hours perhaps. There are two main modes of the game are Stadium and Gym Leader Castle.

The stadium has a number of cup battles, that vary in difficulty. You have 8 battles that you need to win in order to win the cup, if you survive a battle without any of you Pokemon fainting then you gain an extra continue should you lose.

Some of these cups are extremely hard, you often keep losing and have to start all over again from the beginning. The noticable hard ones were the Prime Cup (took me approx 8 hours), Challenge Cup Master Ball (approx 5 hours), Pokecup Master Ball (approx 4 hours).

I have a fairly good understanding of Pokemon and Pokemon types, but often found I had to keep looking up certain Pokemon, their weaknesses and strengths in order to select the right pokemon for the battle, without this the game would take alot longer.

I often used the faq for reference:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/n64/45203...

This is a very good guide, but in some places and battles it did not work for me, I had to watch youtube videos ocassionally and develop my own stratergies and teams.

Should it be desired I can make a post of {okemon teams I used to defeat some of the harder cups, I have made notes on them, should somebody else need advice in the future.

I would say defeating the cup took around 30 hours (I was playing 5 hours a day for about 2 weeks), following defeating the cups I moved onto the Gym Battle Castle.

The Gym Battle Castle was very easy and good fun. You climb the castle defeating gym leaders, then face off against the Elite Four. Following this there is another castle to defeat before facing off against the Rival at the very end of the game. I was quite suprised how easy the final battle of the game against Rival was. Following winning all the available cups, beating the gyms and rival at the very end the credits roll.

I found that certain Pokemon work great in this game. It is important to have a Pokemon with a high speed stat, such as Kadabra It is important to use moves such as attract, hypnosis etc to not allow your opponents Pokemon to move. Wobuffet is a great Pokemon to use, I have never heard of this Pokemon or used him before, he is strong in this game using counter to hit back agains special moves, mirror coat to hit back against special attact, he is essential for taking down Mew/Mewto. I recommend Corsola (attract), Kadabra (fast, Hypnosis, Thunderpunch), Electrabuzz (fast), Hitmonlee (fast, takes down normal Pokemon with high jump kick fighting move).

I learned alot of new things about Pokemon from this game, I highly rate this game. It's fun and the graphics are great. Its probably better as a pick up and play with friends. 1 player mode is good but probalby do not want to binge play like I did and take it slow, as it can be frustrating in some places. I recomend using a guide, doing some research. Without this, for a novice it may take over 100 hours. I used only rental Pokemon while playing this game, I did not have a transfer pack to use own Pokemon from original gameboy cartridges.

I remember renting mega man 64 back in the day. Raced to finish it before I had to return it. Haha, good memories.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy done.

Beat the first tower.

My God this game can be hard in places, I usually dominate MK games with Sub-Zero or Raiden.

Ermac double team and two bosses above are hard as shit in my opinion.

Managed to finish with Noob Saibot, after doing some research online he is supposedly the best character, what I found to be effective was to send his smoke fireball and follow up with uppercuts and low kick combos. The smoke fireball is effective as while opponent is trapped he cannot cause damage to you, allowing you to unleash the beast on him/her.

Nice ! Good job.

Polaris SnoCross is bad. Oh, I mean done. Seriously, I won't spent time writing a little review about it since I already spent too much time on the game itself.

Awful game.

I will edit the list tomorrow. Going to bed now.

Make sure you play on normal difficulty. Easy mode you get so far and the games goes "You should have played on normal, go play on normal to get the rest of the game"

Castlevania is done. I know a lot of people dislike this game, but I found it pretty good. I liked the story between Rosa and Reinhardt, even if it was a little bit "cliché". Yes, I played with Reinhardt and not with Carrie, even if I heard that the gameplay was better with the second character. I appreciated the music in the game a lot, but unfortunately, there were not many music tracks. My favorites were "Introduction" and "Castle Center". Very memorable soundtrack. The gameplay wasn't as bad as I expected, but it was not great either. In conclusion, even if it is not even close in terms of quality to other better Castlevania titles, I think it's an underestimated game.

Good game.

I am still one level away from finishing Battletanx. I've tried 20+ times and it's pretty difficult, which is crazy because none of the others were very difficult at all. Hope to finally beat it soon.
I'm not as attached to Robotron as one might think from looking at my avatar... I kinda lost motivation after my save got wiped 150 waves in. I'm still up for playing it if no one wants to but at the same time I won't beat heartbroken if someone beats me to the punch.

Besides that I don't have anything else planned, I'll wait and see what everyone else is playing and maybe try to tackle something that no one else is working on at the moment.

Waialae Country Club: True Golf Classics done.

Golf game, can be quite hard at the beginning, have to get used to the physics. Need to look at wind direction to adjust aim for shot and often change to a stronger club should the winds be against you.

I played the one day tournament and turned on easy shot. Easy shot means that you only have 1 button press for the shot instead of the generic 2 button press. Winning the tournament rolled the credits.

WWF Wrestlemania 2000 finished.

Great game.

I played this game intermittently over months. Finished Road to Wrestlemania with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The hard thing about this game is that in order to finish and have the credits roll you need to win the Royal Rumble match within the story in order to get a title shot at Wrestlemania and end the game. The thing is the Royal Rumble is extremely hard. Each attemp if you get far is probable about 30minutes, if you loose you need to pause, quit and try again. Gave this so many attempted probably took like 3 - 5 hours of attempts until finally won the rumble. If you continue the game without winning the Royal Rumble you will not see the credits.

Fun game similiar to other THQ wrestling games on the system.

Tip: any easier way to win is to knock the opponent out of the ring usually with punches, when he is out of the ring, taunt, when he steps up to the apron hit him or grapple him to knock him outside, taunt, continue to repeat. When special meter is full hit him with 3 specials and pin. Interestingly if you press a and b at the same time you do your oppenets finisher, much like the THQ wrestling games. Also the final match for championship was a cage match and had to do some googling to find out how to finally climb out of the cafe as I have no manual. Press up c to climb then when it says "tap" tap b furiously to get over the top and hear the bell ring! Thanks.
