Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week's game is going to be Snoopy's Silly Sports Spectacular.  Here are the rules:

• Choose 1 Player Total Game
• Play until Game Over or all events are cleared (all events are cleared after playing through them 3 times)
• Be ready to take your picture on the results screen.  It does not stay up for long.  Alternately, if you clear all events and miss taking your picture on the results screen, you can take it on the medal presentation screen.
• Highest score wins
• Participation: 3,000
• GENRE: Sports

The contest ends Sunday, 8/13/17 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

Snoopy! It might be first sports game this year where I perform reasonably!  

I cannot wait to have kickle defile such a classic and wholesome character.

It's still weirdly entertaining to me that this is actually a Donald duck game

I'm not sure if TWarwick is on hiatus, but given his avatar, I'm guessing he would crush any game involving Snoopy.

I learned from the wiki that this is actually a port of an old computer game that I'd never heard of called Alternative World Games.

After playing for a few mins this morning, the game is playable, just frustrating at times. Will take some practice to get used to the minigames.   

This game is about as much fun as a kick to the shin.

I guess I better look up the manual for the controls for all the events.

I did a blind attempt and game over'd on the second loop. I'll have to practice a couple of the events to figure out what it is you're supposed to do.  Like the one that I think is a pole vault.  You press a button and insta-fail

There. Participation. Done. So glad I don't have to do that stupid pizza thing again.

The pizza game was programmed by a sociopath. The other games aren't too bad.

It seems like keeping a slow and steady rhythm is the key to the pizza event, but it's easy to lose patience and screw up.

Now I kinda want to beat the game by completing all three loops before I'm done with this contest.
 

Press and hold the b button, and release it when you are almost at the peak of the jump.
 

The river and pizza events are the worst for me. Potato sack, boot throw and knocking the other dude out of the boat are the easiest.
 

Oh, the pogo stick event is another one that I haven't figured out the correct timing.

I wonder if the NES Max would work well in this game, esp. the boot toss.

I know Turbo isn't allowed, but I was thinking using the D-Ring/Cycloid thingie.

I will figure out how doomed I am this week tonight when I try this thing for the first time ever.
That doesn't bode well.

Okay this game isn't so bad.
