This is the special day one edition xbox one that is still brand new and sealed.  The system itself and the controller both have a special day one edition logo on them.

I bought two Xbox Ones, one of which was for my sister for her boyfriend but she changed her mind after I got it.  I have torn this house apart looking for the receipt and can't find it to return it so I am tossing it up on here.  Starting bid is just for me to break even.

Rules:
Shipping included for the contiguous 48 states.
Will ship to Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada but buyer will have to pay shipping
Any bids placed in the last 3 minutes will extend the auction 3 more minutes.  This will continue until there have been no bids placed in those extended 3 minutes.
All payments via Paypal or USPS money order
Buyer will have the option to send payment as a gift payment and take 3% off the winning bid.
Bids must be placed in whole dollar increments
No editing bids

Starting bid will be $530
Auction will end January 4th 2014 10PM NA time

If I didn't already get one last week, I would be on this.

Good luck man. More importantly, happy gaming!

Man you might as well find that receipt and take it back. You missed the selling window but GL with the sale.  I bought my Day 1 Edition with a Day 1 copy of DeadRising on Ebay the week before Xmas.

If you paid with a credit card, you can get a detailed statement from your bank and use that. Most places, as long as you paid with a credit card, will take accept a full return if it's still brand new.

Cool.  Thanks.  It's worth a try since I did use a discover card but I'm sure gamestop will still find a way to refuse it.

ill let this auction go in case any wants it, but then I'll give it a shot.

Yea man take it to games top they can't refuse a return if it's unopened. If they don't take it as a return let me know I got a number you can use to get the right person on the phone to help.

Thanks.  I called discover yesterday and they said they would try to get a copy of it from GameStop but can't guarantee anything.

Sales Tax.
$499.99 + (I will use mine in WI 5.6% = $527.99)

The op is trying to get out of it what he paid and the op will still  be out the cost of shipping to the winner.

The Day One Editions sold out on day one, and were never restocked.  Yes it is only a bunch of text on the controller and a special achievement.  These controllers alone have been selling for almost $100 on ebay.

I am thinking about bidding, as I would like to have this one, I just need to see if the financials will work.

This.  Well actually it is to cover shipping and paypal fees (hence why I said if the winner wants they can take off 3% and send as a gift payment).  There is no sales tax in DE, thankfully.

The day ones will actually probablly remain relatively valuable in the future too since they were first shipment only.

I thought gift payments and asking buyer to cover pp fees was not allowed on NA?

Sellers cannot require it. If you happen to make a deal in private that allows for a gift being sent, that's fine. It's definitely not recommended though, and if things go sour it becomes a mess. Especially with high dollar transactions.

I will remove that option if the mods and admin would prefer.  It honestly makes no difference to me since it just helps the buyer.

To be fair, this isn't true.  Wal-Mart and Best Buy restocked Day One editions at least 2 or 3 times, I saw 2 Day One editions on the floor of Best Buy as late as the week before Christmas.

As a fellow Day One owner, I agree will be "limited" down the road, but they aren't hard to find now at all.  Just to clear up any misconceptions here.

Jonebone,

Those two units could have been pre-orders that were not picked up.

I was at Toys R Us on Launch Day and they had 0 day one editions.  In my area, Janesville Wisconsin, I never saw a Day one system on the shelf at all.  Maybe it is regional.

Sure you can find them on ebay or CL, but I have personally never witnessed a day one edition in a retail setting.

I felt the need to reply to your comment, becuase it seems like you were trying to make me out to be a craigslist scammer, Last One Rare Hurry, etc.

This is what a restock looks like to me. One of the Two Piles of Xbox Ones at my best buy around Christmas.

Microsoft only made one shipment of them. After that they were not producing anymore.  It's possible that some retailers intentionally held some back or more likely people returned them or never picked up their preorders.

i am not trying to pitch this thing as super rare or anything but if someone was going to be getting one anyway then they might as well get this one since it will be "rarer"

This is exactly what I observed at 12/17 at my local Best Buy.  A gigantic stock of Green Xbox Ones, but they had two Day Ones at the top of the stack (which were gone the next day when I went back to check in again).

Just seems like it is more of a "Month One" than "Day One" thing.  As I said, Wal-Mart restocked their Day One HOliday bundle ($640ish with 2 games) about two weeks before Xmas as well.

I know because I had deal alerts set up and was in the market for a Day One console in early December.  It just wasn't as hard to find as I thought it would be.

Controller does look cool though

I think this is a fine deal on a sealed Xbox One Day One Edition. I was very pleasantly surprised when I won my Xbox One off of Mountain Dew and it arrived as the Day One Edition . Sure, you don't get much extra, but you do get a "special" model that absolutely will not be available for long (if you can even find one right now.

Plus the black box is cooler.

Honestly, if I had a sealed Day One Edition, I'd try to get closer to $600 for it. Good luck OP!
