I want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who played this week   You all put up some great scores.  Hope you all will come back for more fun throughout the year   SInce there were so many scores submitted this week (4 to be exact), I will restructure the point system of the leaderboard to allow the top 10 scorers to earn more points.  This point system will also apply to the genre leaderboards.  This way, it will be easier to break ties in the leaderboard standings come tournament time.  Plus, with so many people playing this week, I needed to make a bigger point spread.  Info on the new point system will also be in the Leaderboard thread.  Here's how it will break down:

2Legit, great job with the 3 million.  Tough break on the ship, but that is still a really good score!

Also from earlier posts, glad you guys found my video.  I was tempted to post that here, but Daryl Kiddey's world 1 record video was a better example of how to do this game under single life rules.  Mine was for the 5-man game on Twin Galaxies, where I was forced to find multiple places to do racoon jumps in each level (due to weird rules).

Daryl had been on a quest to get the maximum score of 9,999,990 without a single death and without using warp whistles to replay levels.  I don't know if he's still trying, but last I heard he had enough strats where he could get over 8 million "on paper".  If that video is any indication, he probably didn't get the maxout, but I wonder how close he got?
