I am searching for the following SNES manuals:
- Sunset Riders    - TMNT IV: Turtles in Time      - Total Carnage
- Utopia                 - Final Fantasy II
Please PM me if you have one or all of them for sale. While I like nice condition, I am interested in anything 7/10ish up.

EDIT: Just finished a practice run on course 8 and drove as aggessively as I could and acclerated as much as possible with no crashes (a few car bumps though) and every leg of the course I either coasted to the checkpoint or got there with a second or two left. Would love to hear yours and Doug's time saving strategies on course 8. Lol.

The cars on each track seem to follow a predetermined pattern just like the Rad Racer part of the NWC. If you race the same track enough times at the same pace, you will start to get the hang of where to expect each of the computer cars to be at and you can put yourself in the best lane to avoid them. It's possible to crash on course 8 and still make it to the end, but my best (and obvious) strategy is just to no crash it.

Edit: Here's another tip for safe passing that works on any track. The computer cars won't drive in the same lane as another car on the screen. For example, if you are trying to pass a car in the left lane and you see another car in the center lane in the distance, the car on the left won't move over as long as that car in the center lane is still on the screen. This really comes in handy if you are trying to go between two cars on the outside lanes. If you can see a car in the distance in the middle lane, the cars that you are trying to pass won't move and it's safe to go between them. On the later courses where the cars often run three wide, try and follow the fastest car. As long as there are three cars on the screen, staying behind the fastest car is the safest place to be because the computer cars won't change into that lane and force you off the road.

Beat the game a few times.  I'm a slow coward with this game though.  Was never able to figure out how to go faster and not crash.

You'd have some competition there buddy! Honestly though I like the rotation as it is right now.

Dang it Tom! I'm sure there are a few others lurking....waiting to post a last second score. I should stay in the top 10 with my current one. I'll try a few more times later today to see if I can improve.

Gave it one last shot this morning and eventually had my best run yet 48,915 original post updated. Good enough for 9th at this point in time but I'm sure it will turn into a participation point by the end of the evening.

Best of Luck everyone!

Agreed.  The last time we played Mega Man (actually, the only time we played it), it turned into a rules headache with it being a high score contest.  Low score would be the way to go if we play Mega Man again.

Thanks for the update, not too far from the top 10 I'll see if I can wing it. Didn't have enough playing time this week because of that outtage, had to catch up in the Atari 2600 comp.

I've been doing all that stuff and have known about those strategies,I just don't see how you can crash once on course 8 and make it. It's so time constrainted. The only thing that I can think of that you may not be doing that I am is bumping the cars.

EDIT: Just made my last run. Had a great run going until I got hosed by some bs car shenanigans. So here's one last picture.

LOL. Nice. You can make it on track 8 if you crash once, but everything has to go your way and  the rest of the run has to be perfect. You won't get there with time on the clock, but you can coast across. You can bump any cars, can't get pinned in, and pretty much have to be the aggressor the whole way. And it'll take a little luck of crashing on the middle of the track, prolly.

I figured. I like the game, but the stupid cars will frustrate the hell out of you. I'm happy overall with how I did,it's just that it would have been nice to win one of these and I definitely had a shot at it. At least I'm in the top 5. (As of this post anyway.)

I am very happy with my 9th place finish. Especially since the top 2 are better than the current world record listed on Twin Galaxies.

Thanks for a fun week!
