Err WTF. I guess these auctions are lying by omission? The Pal ones? Because I am sure anyone with a Pal copy right now that is seeing this will put it on the bay. I got mine for around $300 or so? It's is lovely shape, but I couldn't put it up with a stupid stupid BIN or high starting bid because it's wrong. I feel anyways. Maybe others would, who knows. If this shifts the pal price and it becomes accepted I am sure it will saturate and probably drop the pal vr to under $100. Sad for everyone.

You talkin about the DMG guy.. which the auction seller happens to be a DMG too?

Hold your horses. I hereby state that I have nothing to do with the lovingsdmg ebay seller! I don't even own a copy of SE.

What's going on with Stadium Events, guys? I literally got over 2000 search referrals on my website (NESguide) today from people looking for information about it. Most of them included the year '1987'. Was there some sort of burp about this game in a major media outlet recently?

Prior to this, I thought Battle Kid was getting a lot of searches but this activity blows that out of the water! This is definitely a result of some sort of mainstream media, and not just a gaming media outlet. With all of these auctions popping up, the value of the game was definitely the thrust of the story but it either failed to mention that PAL isn't worth as much and people with PAL versions think they've got something or there are a lot of opportunists going crazy right now... or a mix of both.

Someone mentioned Digg in another one of the numerous threads. Does anyone have a link?

Have you been under a rock?

Well they can't be to serious because Ant's PAL CIB is sitting there for $6500 OBO and noone has hit the BIN????I would figure if i was in the market for a PAL SE it seems like a real good deal compared to the other 2.

Well, Ant has had 3 offers on it. I guess they could be offers around the current value but even at half his price, I know he would have taken it. Just don't know what the offers are.

someone should notify ebay and have these pal auctions taken down since they are misleading.

I honestly cant bring myself to find out what I would report that one that is up to 9000 as.. If people are crazy enough to bid that much on a PAL version, then they obviously did not do proper research and are in it to make a buck. Also due to the recent update on that auction, he clearly states that people should do their research before bidding.. Im sure this auction will end with someone not paying him.

If people are dumb enough to bid on an auction where it states that it's PAL twice in the listing, then let them.

I really hope for the bidders that they do their research now. And if the price goes up from here on, then someone really needs to check their research or the seller has some people on his side to bring the price up.

if the auction clearly states PAL then it's not the sellers fault.. can't blame them for trying

My guess would be that a ton of people wanted to see the gameplay of a $13k video game from 1987?

Based on his bidding history it looks like he purchased Ant's copy and now he's trying to flip it already by using Ant's photos.  Maybe Ant can chime in to say if this guy actually paid for the copy he bought from him yet?

All these SE auctions are absolutely ridiculous!

They're obviously ant's photos. Ant's copy did sell though (for approximately $4,000 more than it's "worth"). So who knows.
