Use of Banned Avatar Do not make it your avatar

We've been seeing this more than we'd like recently so I wanted to make a public annoucment. Per the FAQ/Rules:

"The use of site-appointed avatars such as the "Hall of Shame" or "Banned" avatars is not allowed unless they have been specifically applied by an admin or mod. The use of such avatars will result in a warning."

While it may seem funny to make  your profile pic, please don't. 

Banning a member isn't fun and we don't like doing it, so its important that we don't have regular members using this a joke. Thanks.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.

I wouldn't say its any one persons fault, not everyone knows so now we have a link to forward off to folks. No worries

Personally I haven't noticed this except on April Fools day. That's when everyone gets the bright idea to use the banned avatar. Either way, I agree that it shouldn't be used unless you "earn" the avatar yourself

What if a member alters the image to say "not banned."

I'm assuming that would still be frowned upon.
