Gonna give these a shot this month for sure. Girlfriend is almost all moved in so I should have plenty of time. I've only played sunset riders a handful of times in the arcade though.

I get Sunset Riders mixed up with Wild Guns. When we were going to play Wild Guns for the contest I was expecting the cowboy Contra game. It does look fun.

This is a tough game for me. Gonna try to at least complete it though. Thank god for all those continues. How many more levels are there after this?

It gets harder too. I'd recommend pacing both games with each other. They are difficult

Ill be playing both. I would recommend the scores get updated routinely. its always a pain digging through everything to figure out peoples scores. I think posting score updates semi regularly spurs more competitive drive. Like once a week or something or when you see one

As someone who placed in the NES contests the last two years, I completely agree.  That's why I recruited a scoreboard helper.  Two of them actually.  But if life comes up, which it does and did, I can try to get more on top of it myself

March ought to be less hectic than February, so I will work on getting the leaderboard updated. I will update it once or twice per week.
The main leaderboard will be updated this morning with the results of January and February.

I added a score for Sunset Riders on my KotR post.
I am so frustrated with that damn game. I've put a few hours in and can not beat that first boss to save my life. Playing a game on hard that I've obly played In an arcade is rough. I'm gonna try it on normal after work late tonight and see if I can figure out how to play this fucking game!

Gonna give both a go today or tomorrow, and see where I land. I should have more time to play closer to the middle of the month, but I wanna get some play time in sooner than later so I know what I'm dealing with.

If you have never played Sunset Riders before, prepare to be pleasantly surprised.
This was Konami at it's very best. It is a great run and gun game.
