I miss Geoffrey. Ramsey Bolton is an amazing villain though.

I heard an interesting theory that the Blackfish army thing is a trap set by Littlefinger to take out Jon's army. Sansa lying to her brother about where she got her information is a big tip off that its going to blow up in their faces. Also Littlefinger said "The time has come to join the Fray" which I think has a double meaning... When Brienne gets to Riverrun, she's going to be fucked.

Fucking back to the future. It was funny twist but then again a bit too lame ass shit. Also, the reasoning behind white walkers seems a bit flaky. They should just go away now than there is no threat from humans anymore, since even the wildlings have gone south. Also it seems the lord of light just wants the world to burn, and arranges the things so that everyone will die...

Well it is a song of Fire and Ice... the lord of light wants the world to burn. The night king wants the world to freeze.

True that. I just hope its not gonna change into a song of Lost the tv-series that went sour because of some actor popularity.

Very interesting few weeks...Sunday's episode felt a bit off, but good overall. Benjen is alive! Learning more and more about the white walkers. And fucking Bran, you greedy greedy little boy. As for the unification with Tommen, well that was a bit unexpected. If I'm reading in between the lines enough, could we be seeing the introduction of Lady Stoneheart this season?

I agree. It was still enjoyable but definitely a shuffling the pieces around episode. Daenaeris' storyline did not advance. I'm not sure what that speech with the Dragon added that we didn't already get from everyone bowing in front of her after she emerged from the fire other than looking cool. Bran's, Arya's, and the Lanister's did advance somewhat although it was more about setting up what's to come. Bran is reunited with his Uncle (who's identity I correctly guessed). Arya decides to become Arya again and will probably have to have a showdown with the waif. The Lanisters/Tyrells are outmaneuvered by the high sparrow. We did get a nice bit of character development with Samwell as we see how shitty his father is firsthand. That valyerian steel sword will probably come in handy in killing a few more whitewalkers.

I think Daenarys' story did advance--She pretty much declared she's finally going to cross the damn sea. We know the Dothraki fear crossing water, so perhaps it took her another rallying of the troops to ensure their loyalty once they're facing the big blue. What's been happening with her lately has been HUGE for her storyline, especially considering that she's been sitting around wasting time in cities she didn't belong in during most of 5 seasons. She also seems to finally have FULL control of her dragons. That's a pretty big deal too.

Damn what a good episode
Basically some talk and just action

Sucks about all the casualties from the wildling side, especially the giant.

Sansa and her grin at the end was a nice touch

That was great. Best mereen episode and great bastard fight. Was waiting for the vale. Thought for a second they were going to kill john. Then the tower of joy flashback stuff popped back into my head and that has to pay off later.

Wow, what an episode. Was not able to catch it until last night given the NBA finals, and even tho I heard about Ramsey, it was fun as hell to watch. Possibly my favorite episode ever, I'll probably watch it again. Some of the best cinematics I've seen, absolutely loved the war and oh the poor giant! Never imagined Ramsey to go out like that - how perfect! So I know it's all a show but why would Sansa wait until the end to unleash her secret army - Rickon obviously died early, but Jon and everyone else easily could have been chop liver. Very heroic and what not, but felt a little late after they were circled and being enclosed onto. Great episode tho!

This totally put that last episode into perspective for me, watching the cinematography it took to make it all happen. That was probably one of my favorite hours of TV I've watched in a while.

Hands down the shittiest death in the series. Lost my favorite character right there... Also hated why they did not give him some huge club / tree stump to swing those fuckers like flees...

What can I say? This was perhaps the biggest episode since the Battle of Butcher Bay. I think anyone who's never seen this show before, if they just watch Season 6 Episode 9, that alone would sell them on the show and they'd have to catch up with the rest of the series. They'd have no choice

The writers use of Wun Wun was very disapointing to me. Until the door scene it was like he wasn't part of the battle.

It was like they had made up their mind of how the battle was going to go, and then remembered they had a giant to write in.

Exactly. Giants were supposed to be warriors. And what he did? Swatted randomly in the air with his fists almost the whole time... Sad, and made me angry. That is one of the things why I hated this episode.

That's not true at all. Aside from freaking punching horses, he was instrumental in fighting against the shield phalanx and breaking down their wall formation multiple times. Ramsey just had too many men and the archers and spearmen were constantly bombarding him.

Armed properly and he would have done the same thing that the riders of little finger did - all by himself...

Sounds like that would be horrible. He couldnt be by tge rest of the army , hed take out all his own guys

i didnt have any issues with him in the battle. I was just shocked the whole time how he wasnt dead. They showed him ripping people up and dominating. I dont get the hate. I guess with an episode that awesome people cant just like something. They have to find a reason to bitch.

Well... Before they got fucked up in the ring... That would have been a whole another combat from the start of Boltons riders coming up, playing little baseball with those riders...
