I don't frequent these boards much as I spend most my time over on nesdev, but for people who haven't caught wind of the project we've been working on over there I've got some news to share.  We've finally put together a multicart from the 2011 NA/nesdev coding competition and are releasing sales soon.

This is a NES multi-cartridge of homebrew games featuring recent hits and several 2011 NA/nesdev compo entries.

• Open source:
  • digital download
  • GPL required source files
• Currently sales are only open and limited to contributors on the list below for $35 + shipping.
• Sales to the general public will open on Saturday July 6th at 6pm E.S.T for $40 + shipping.
• The cartridge is equipped with a multi-region CIC by Jim's Cool "JCIC".
  • U.S./Canadan sales will be forced NTSC region.
  • International sales will be region switchable by pressing reset on your console, saving last known good region.
• Total sales are limited to 50 cartridges for this limited edition run
  • Opening title screen of game is numbered "copy#" of 50 and PCB is hand numbered to match.
  • Future editions are expected, but will not be numbered and differ in appearance including case color most likely.

This is a loose cartridge ONLY as pictured, sales are LIMITED to ONE cart per person.  Checking out with more than one cartridge will result in cancellation of your order put your cart back up for sale to the public.

Proceeds from sales will be used to payout well overdue prizes for the coding competition.  Remaining profits will be put forward to other community approved projects including immediate payment of prizes for next competition, future Action53 releases, or other items to support the homebrew community as a whole.  Thanks for your SUPPORT!!!

It does appear that way. Hope if any "general public" actually placed an order that it won't go through. Nice to see those new boards up too.

It's there to show pricing and everything, but if your try to checkout you'd see there isn't any quantity available right now. I'll change that quantity available at time of release for general public. When they go up paypal will only allow the prescibed amout to be sold. Future, non-numbered release is expected, but details have yet to be decided/approved.

Just a few notes as there has been some questions/confusion since posting about this.

*Contributors $35 version is for sale only to the list of contributors. If you name isn't on this list don't bother trying to checkout with it, I will have to promptly cancel your transaction.

*General public sales for $40 each open on this Saturday at 6pm E.S.T. Cartridges are limited, you'll have to be quick and lucky I'm guessing. The option is posted however there is no quantity available. I will change the quantity available in paypal at the time of release. Paypal will stop allowing sales/checkout once they are sold out.

*You cannot reserve copies for general public sales, reservations were only for contributors (as listed).

I've had to cancel a several purchases by non-contributors checking out with contributor carts. I've removed the contributor option from checkout. I've sent PM/emails to the remaining contributors.  There are only a few contributor carts left so IF YOU MADE ONE OF THE GAMES ON THE CART AND HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO PURCHASE ONE YET email me with your paypal email and I'll send you an invoice for purchase.
