Hello fellow NintendoAgers!

I am starting a quest, right here, right now! I will beat every single game I own, and I'm here to share my experiences with you
I might do a quick review on each game as well, but here are my rules:

I will follow the order my games are in my current shelving unit. That means I will be switching systems after some games.
I will not play duplicates (obviously, even though the only one I have right now is DKC3)
I will post a proof of my success on each game
I will try maximum completion/difficulty whenever possible (Contra 3 on Hard, COME AT ME!)
I wouldn't be buying any new games anytime soon anyway (rough stuff happening right now), but I plan on only getting a new game after I have beaten at least 20 games. (gifts don't count though hahahha)
I will play PC games that I have in physical media only (fuck steam)

Well, I guess that's it for now. To start this off a game that I've been playing all day:

SNES Top Gear - Complete!
SNES Lamborghini - Complete!
SNES Top Gear 2 - Complete!
SNES Super Mario World - Complete!
SNES Super Mario Kart - Playing Now!

Wish me luck, and call me dumb if you wish hahaha

Good luck with Contra 3 on hard mode, I couldn't pass stage 3 on normal difficulty, tough as nails for sure!

I remember being able to beat Contra 3 on easy in co op only lol
anyway, first game done. it was an easy one though ahhahahaha

and @Ozzy_98, i don't hahahah
that's stuff from before I was born, I only have stuff beginning at the NES era hahaha

I plan on building a collection of those at some point though

According to my shelf, Lamborghini : The American Challenge is up next
And I did a little sneak peak on the next ones, Top Gear 2 and Super Mario Kart. What a racing combo lol

Anyway, here is the proof

Yeah, I know I shouldn't put the SNES on top of the NES like that, I will fix it soon, as soon as I finish organizing my room...

Good thing in this case.  "Why won't this game stop repeating and just give me the ending already?!"

Well if Spy Hunter is one of the games, that will be the case. "I heard you get out of the car and get in a fist fight and then it ends! I must find it!"

There are a few 2600 games with endings. Adventure, ET, Jungle Hunt, Porky's, both Pitfall games. Heck, doesn't Super Mario Bros. keep looping?

Come to think of it, does he have to complete the second quests?

yea but SMB shows the ending first.  Then loops

Haunted house is another 2600 with ending And a few of the supercharger games too.

Yeah, but Peach (or is she Toadstool?) gives you the second quest in the ending, so your work clearly isn't finished.

Technically, many of the 2600 launch titles had an "ending." They quit after 2 minutes 16 seconds. You have to reset the console.

I think I'll be able to wrap up all my physical games (about 250ish total), I'm probably 3/4 done. There's plenty more I want to play on my super everdrive, emulators, and Steam/PSN/eShop though

For a fan of video games, that is sad and awesome at the same time!
You will never be able to finish all of them, but you will also never run out of games hahaha

Probably a safe bet to say lots of people haven't even played a majority of their games, especially if they own several hundred, several thousand,or even more than that. Good luck on your endeavor. How many games are we talking here?

Depending on the number of games you have, I would give up on trying for 100% completion/hardest difficulty. I gave up on that pretty fast as I have a backlog of more than 200 games. Now I just go for the end on the default settings.

I could never beat all of my games. I suck at video games, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Careful you don't experience burnout.

If I felt I had to beat 3-400 games to the point where it became a job, I'd probably give up on gaming.

let me give an estimation of how tall a task.

There are 52 weeks in a year. If you beat a (1) game PER WEEK it will take you ~8 years to finish 400 games!

Basically, gaming would need to be something close to a full-time job for about a decade.

A majority of the games I own I've beaten at some point in my life plus my collection is rather modest,(~120-130 nes games) so I have a good chance to beat all my games if I decide to give it a shot.

That's quite a task to beat that many games, but nothing wrong with it. I know Bimmy has beaten something like 190 nes games this year alone (though I think he's played a fair amount of them before), so I don't see why you can't beat all the games you own I try to do the same thing, but time is the biggest setback as I don't have much free time, which makes playing new RPGs very difficult as I forget where I left off half the time haha.

First of all, I overestimated a lot LOL
I have less than 300 actually.

Second, I'm pretty sure I can beat one game every day if I just play it.

Third, some games take me like 1~2 hours to finish ahahhaha

Fourth, it's not like i HAVE to finish them, I just WANT to finish all of them
If I see I won't be able to, I'll just stop lol

There's the spirit! I tried doing a game a day 2 years back. I think I hit around the 100-110 range when I started giving up (I hit a lot of games that I couldn't get interested in and it started feeling like a chore), so hopefully you don't get burned out as you're doing it.

What games are you thinking about starting off with? Some new or something familiar?
