Played again and made some dumb baserunning errors, leaving runs on the table.  Ended up with the same score as my updated post, but with a better tie break situation.  I'm not posting those pics now with the hope that I do better later in the week.  I need a break.
 

This is the first contest game to seem too tedious to even get participation points.

LOL - I'm embarrassed to admit how much of today was taken up by playing this game!   Tomorrow I need to work on some life balance to allow time for things like eating, working, paying attention to my family... the little things.
 

This game infuriates me more in 15 minutes than Battle toads and GnG have in my entire life and I am dead fucking serious this game is what I call a "piss boiler"

Haha,that's great! I figured I wouldn't play much of this game....until I kind of figured out how to hit. My pitching still leaves a lot to be desired. It still seems like the cpu is hell bent on getting in a good inning or two.
 

Okay like fucking seriously!?!! I was up 12-4 in the 9th and they come back and get 5 fucking runs because my fielders 3 times in a row literally stood there staring at the goddamn ball like honestly this game has frustrated me more in 30 minutes than any game ever has in the last 10 years and I am dead serious. On that last pitch I literally got off the couch screaming WHAT!?!?!?! The ball rolled passed 3 guys going slow as all hell.

Any batting tips? I'm decent at pitching but I can only seem to get a few good hits each game.

So how do I get a good picture I keep pressing pause once the game is over and it brings me right to the team select. Not sure what I did different from the first one.

I've had a few of those. It's also super awesome when you think your fielder is standing on a base when they field a ball and that the runner will naturally be out because he's right there....but no.

You gotta pause right as the last out happens, if you hit start on the scoreboard it restarts. So pause as soon as the last out happens and prep your camera for some quick shots.

 

Update.

This game is just god fucking awful and just ruined it for me.....the computers by the last 3 innings just start hitting every ball far side of the field and your outfielders are clearly fucking programmed to just stand like idiots. The one was STANDING ON THE FUCKING BALL and wouldn't pick it up.

Yeah... And it does seem like they hit it down the lines all the time. Of course it may be how I am pitching to them as well but they still seem to hit it there no matter what I throw.

I played 7 innings in this last night and I seriously debated started smoking again. Seriously. I never think about cigarettes anymore either. I was shocked at how frustrated I got.

It's that frustrating. Toxie, I feel your pain brother. The sad thing is that I have yet to repeat a full game and snap a pic for participation

I'm personally thinking of just posting participation, and playing Baseball Stars and Legendary Wings the rest of the week.

Oh dude seriously I know..........I don't even like the way it makes me feel and I probably won't even bother playing once I get an okay score which sucks because I need to catch up in the standings due to lost time and it is kind of shitty that I may potentially get screwed over by arbitrary programming.

I know for a goddamn fact that your own team starts to play more stupid and the other team starts playing exponentially better by the end of the game and sure thats okay....most games DO get more difficult by the end BUT usually with practice you can overcome it wheras in this game sometimes you literally have no fuckin control over what happens whatsoever (outfielders).

I am far more frustrated playing legendary wings than playing baseball! What a gauntlet!
 

I'd say its way easier than 1943. Gonna be a lot of people jockeying for high/low score at the end of the day...

I've played Legendary Wings in emulation and I haven't even come close to beating the first level. I hope to do better on real hardware. If the scores for the previous contest are any indication of what we'll need for this contest, good luck!

I tried to complete 1943 using passwords and hit the brick wall of difficulty at stage 22. I spent hours trying to make it past that stage with my plane fully maxed out except for special weapons and couldn't do it. The game isn't that bad until that point.
 

Yep. I played it the other day for the first time since that contest and I beat it with over a million. I will be a factor next week,that's for sure.
 

Well let's just say I'm confident that getting a million points plus in LW will be easier than it was in 1943

I'm not too good at shmups. I hope I can get the hang of this one.
