Wow, maybe I'll actually get a win this week. I do have a baseball icon after all!

You can post this score if you want, if I can determine that it was made on your NES setup I would accept it.

I don't think anyone else in the contests uses a Sharp TV, so it should be easy to tell.

I gave it another shot this afternoon, but I couldn't do any better. I'm still surprised that there are only a dozen scores with two and a half hours left.

I played a few games last night. The best score I got was 13-0. Usually by sunday I've moved on to the next game unless we're playing a favorite of mine or my score is terrible.

Under the current rules that puts me in 4th place, right?

I hope that you're only kidding. If not, any positive scores take precedence over any negative scores

No I'm serious!

The rule states:  "Greatest differential between your score and the computer wins."

So a difference of 13, even a losing score, would rank higher than someone winning by 12, but rank lower than someone winning by 13.  I'm pretty sure that's how it was ranked in RBI Baseball in the past as well.

Don't forget this tidbit from the rules

Do you have an earlier score from the week to post?  That way you can get credit for a score this week since this one is missing your name.

My interpretation of that entire rule is that +13 > -13 > +12 as far as the ranking goes. It is ranked by highest differential and then further ranked by positive/negative (and then further tiebroken by number of innings, total runs scored, etc.)

If you want to put me in dead last that's fine by me, since I didn't have time to figure out how to actually win by a lot (my best was +4 I think). But as it is written in the rules I think my interpretation is correct.

He already explained how he made this score but forgot to put his username paper, and I told him to post his score anyway cause I can identify his setup. I think we should let this one slide, but feel free to have the final word on it sir.

The positive scores have always taken preference in sports games where we play by biggest margin of victory.  The clause "A positive score takes preference over a negative score" is included to indicate that winning takes preference over losing so that people don't just bomb in a game like 35-0 and have their score count as the top score.  While your interpretation makes sense, positive scores will always take preference over negative scores, regardless of how big the difference is.
