I just tried the game, everyone please take note that the games doesn't run correctly on Nestopia. There is some graphical glitches, the most important is that the score doesn't show up entirely.

I tried it in FCE Ultra and it runs fine.

Ah, very good, finally another awesome action game. Looks like I'll be playing this one on my actual NES. I'm not really good at this game, may take some practice, but I do play well enough I think. Easily beaten, but not without quite a bit of deaths, I know this'll be tough with only 1 life. Must find enough time to play it, a lot.

Excellent, I've been anxiously waiting this one. The last two games didn't really grab me (okay, maybe Joust was a bit too hard) but I'm committed this week for sure.

I love the diagonal strip of label still left on that cart. Looks like a game version of a random dime romance novel.

I think I have this one.
I will check it tonight. Hopefully it will still be there.
It has been too long since I last had a shot on this contest, so it's time to run of the good, ol' NES clone with something else than Punch Out.

OK I have a question, I haven't taken part of these contests yet, but I was wondering is this how you get that participant icon just buy taking part or do you have to amass a particular amount?

Reason I haven't joined in I wasn't aware emulators could be used as most of the games I've seen I don't have a cartridge for... yet.

nice, finally a game I do have. Will try getting this loaded up sometime this week

About emulators, there would be no way proving the participant didn't simply use the save & load function to amass a humongous score now would it?
But then again, how sad a guy do you have to be to do that thing and post your picture here

^^ yeah pretty much like Ninja Gaiden.  Looks like alot of fun though.  I'm hoping I'll have time for a few good runs.

You are correct. As long as you meet the minimum participation score once for the year, you get the award.

They are not always automatically added..might have to send a Mod a request for the award along with the weekly contest you participated in...

^ Doesn't matter, its all in good fun anyway. If you enjoy playing a game, as well as competing, then doesn't matter how late you come into the game. I was a few months late, no big deal, I'm mostly playing just to keep in touch others playing the same stuff, as well as keep up my skills.

I gave it my first try last night and got caught on the third boss (second platform stage). He keeps throwing fireballs at me and he's super fast. I'll need to spend some time with this one. Fun game though.

Meh, apparently my controller is a POS for emulators so I've ordered myself a retroUSB plug adapter for my NES contollers, then I maybe I can get somewhere and not die so easily on future games.

Edit: Sorta better, but seeing as my time is limited this weekend here is my entry with my crap camera.
