Very interesting, seems like the code is NES-U2-KOR which should be correct. Strange it has the European artwork but the american code and title. In Europe it was called Hero Turtles, not Ninja and the ode is 88 not U2. I will add it to the list.

Not all of Europe.

What part of Europe got Ninja Turtles with NES-U2?

Sorry I meant it wasn't known as Hero Turtles everywhere because I thought the ITA version was released in Italy. I now understand the two ITA versions, one that was intended for Australia and one released in Italy.
I read this whole discussion and learned a few things. Thank you. I now know who to harrass next time I have a question about my PAL collection.

Nice! Thanks so much for that. I've only begun my PAL library in the past two months and I'm up to I think 1400 unique major releases. On the road at the moment so I can't really check right now but i expect to find a couple hundred more in the coming months and probably miss just as much. I know the NA DB has a bit over 1550 unique PAL releases but I need to visually confirm it exists or it ain't going on my list.

I wanted to speak about every discussion in this thread
I'm a huge collector from Italy, got the ITA full set so if u have any question pls ask

I colelcts also asian games, I'm near to complete the set (1 left) and can say the games aren't 35, they are 33, never saw a licensed wild gunman or donkey kong in asian version
I care about bootlegs too (like circus Charlie or the SMBII that braveheart showed) and I have a very good collection of them!

and, last thing, why not to do a list of Mah Jong owners? we are 9 now I think

Very interesting, can somebody confirm that wild gunman and donkey kong do not belong in the asia list?

Wild Gunman NA: http://nintendoage.com/index.cfm?...
From NintendoAGE

"An interesting note about this regional variation is the color of the physical cart -- it's white, not the light grey commonly found with Asian (ASI) and Hong Kong (HKG) version games. This is not a pirate cart, to be sure."

I do not see how we can be sure if no pictures of the PCB.

The Wild Gunman is clearly a bootleg, a rookie move on the NA database.

fun fact? :

the normal size boxed version of Asian Tetris was also sold here in the Netherlands,
because at that point the game was so popular, they had to bring in extra stock/copies from overseas.

i have loose copies of the FRA and ASI coded versions + manuals , because of the above reason

Since this is basically the Asian NES / Korean NES / HKG NES thread, I might aswell post this here..

The Comboy was likely released at the end of 1991. I cannot view this article, and only somebody in a library in Singapore can (you literally have to go there to view it.)

Very likely the same as the asian NES, since they were both by the same company (kind of)
