2016 WEEK 24 SANTA WEEKLY NEWS UPDATE - WRECKING CREW

24 Weeks... Wow!
Anybody remember Valentine's Day back in the icy grip of February? That's when all of this kicked off with Super Mario Bros.
Since then lots of new faces have jumped into the fray - while others have faded away a bit.
We're approaching the end of July and are entering into the dog days of summer.
It's a busy time of year for many with vacations, lawn work and getting totally fucked up on your mountain bike.
The opportunity to climb the leaderboards for those with some extra time might be now.
Or, you could take a break and play naked touch with a new friend for a week.
Either way... let's take a look at what's been going on this week in the contests.

MBD39 HAS A SIZABLE LEAD ENTERING THE LAST DAY OF WRECKING CREW
Mbd39 has been steadily improving throughout the year. Will he finally get a gold this week?
With less than 24 hours to go to submit a score this week, stalwart competitor mbd39 has a comfortable lead over the rest of the field.
He has mentioned this game was a childhood favorite of his and his familiararity with this title has helped him secure the top mark overthe past 6 days.
With a score of 206,200 mbd39 is the only competitor thus far to top the 200,000 point mark. His closest threat as of this writing is smick with a score of 171,200.
Mbd's prospects look good heading into the final stretch too. Some top performers are out of action this week.
- Bea_Iank is "entertaining a friend" this week and will most likely not post a score
- Brock Landers is out of the house for the weekend as well as participating in NA's Survivor Forum Game
- skinnygrinny does not normally fare well in puzzle games and has mentioned grinding this one out has been a chore
- Toxie Rules is on a Canadian vacation of beer, doughnuts and Dragon Quest and will likely not be a threat this week
- 2 of the 3 "Colorado Chumpstain Gang" have already posted and do not seem to be a threat to take the top spot away from mbd39 this week
...but what of bertsampson? Sometimes he wiffs. It doesn't happen often, but is this a wiff week?
And what of new comer Technoskan? They have posted some brow raising scores. Could they take the gold away from mbd39 in the 11th hour?
And lastly... contest mod guillavoie has publically stated "(he) has not retired." His score of 266,500 was good enough for 2nd place last time Wrecking Crew rolled around.
Could he appear from his long absence?
There is still enough time left for a steal, but the Update staff is rooting for an mbd39 gold this week.

SKINNYGRINNY CREATES A PIECE OF TECH TO AID IN CONTEST ENDEAVORS
Sick of getting out of his recliner, skinny has brought the "Auto Reset" into the world
You know anyone with the nickname "The Grinder" has hit his fair share of reset buttons in thier quest for the perfect run.
It makes you wonder how many times skinnygrinny had to get up out of his chair to hit that reset button until he decided he'd had enough and created a device that does the resetting for him.
This week marks the first time a "remote reset button" has been created.
Using his Floridian enginuity skinny crafted this device to be fitted into the 2nd controller port. It has a button on top that allows him to "reset the game from the comfort of his recliner."
It's a shame he'll be missing out on all the aerobic exercise of running back and forth hundreds of times a week to reset his runs, but this device just may increase his gaming output.
Good job skinny on creating this unique device.
Probably works way better than a broomstick with a pen taped to it.
