Hello, this is my first post here. I just cannot express how happy I feel to finally be able to play CC. I am a 19 year-old autistic college student and the one thing I obsess over in my life is collecting everything Nintendo (well, that and someday breaking the world record for Berzerk). The reason this is such a big deal for me is that because of my autism, I have a compulsive desire to collect things in sets. For example, when I first bought an NES, probably ten years ago, I noticed that Super Mario Bros. and Excitebike had a distinct pixel-style label art. Within a year, I had flea-marketed and garage-sailed my way to the complete set of those early NES games, even acquiring a R.O.B. complete with Gyromite and Stack-Up parts for $15! I shunned ROMs for years, but one day I gave in just to play NWC, a game I had neither the money nor time to find. Flash forward to a couple years ago, when I first heard of a CC game found at a garage sale along with a few other rare NES and SNES games. As soon as I finished reading the article my brain went crazy and I actually felt an emptiness in my stomach because just the knowledge of it existing and that I could not play it yet made me physically sick! Since then, I have probably Googled "Nintendo Campus Challenge" at least twenty times a month, hoping for a ROM or anything to surface. You, sir, have guaranteed a purchase from me and made my day. Thank you so much!

Those games with the distinct pixel style art are the Black Box games.  You'll find alot of people here who, like you, are obsessed with them

Yeah, I noticed a lot of the repros are done in that style.  I did a lot of obsessive research into them.  I won an award on the old official Nintendo forums for a topic with my hypothesis that the NES game "Soccer" was either released or planned to be released in 1985 as opposed to the 1987 date given by most internet sites.  I came to that conclusion by noting that the original NES box with R.O.B., before it became the Deluxe Set, listed Soccer as an available title along with the rest of the 1985 launch titles.  Also, a series of posters called "The Nintendo Game Plan" show it with other games in early 1986, before the later black box game "Gumshoe" was released.  An early NES demo unit included Soccer, among 16 of the 17 launch titles.  The final nail in the "1987" coffin came when I discovered that the 1985 launch titles all used the same font on the top of the cartridge labels, and Soccer had the same font too.  In case anyone's wondering, this is either the actual or planned NA launch titles for the NES, contrary to what wikipedia or any other website says:

Stack-Up
Gyromite
Excitebike
Wrecking Crew
Duck Hunt
Hogan's Alley
Wild Gunman
Clu Clu Land
Ice Climber
Pinball
Kung Fu
Super Mario Bros.
Tennis
10-Yard Fight
Baseball
Golf
and Soccer.

So this means that Mach Rider and DK Jr. Math were not launch titles? Wow, I didn't know that. Why did those two get bumped?

Either that or they originally were not supposed to be.  All I know is that those games I listed above are all mentioned on the original NES box, and are the ONLY games mentioned, and they all happen to have the same font that no other black box games have.
