It's a great game that I personally think gets overlooked. It's easily in my list of top NES games. Quality action adventure with lots of variety.

The platforming scenes are basically Castlevania with guns. There's also a lot of 2D overhead maps and some 3D mazes where you can (optionally) use the Zapper. It gets hard near the end, but that's a good thing too!

The Lone Ranger is a lot of fun! Very underrated title. Quality is top notch from Konami. I love the varying gameplay styles. Play with the zapper!! You have it on you as you explore first person caves. Switching from controller to gun Is awesome. Good exploration and overworld. Awesome unique title.

It is a crap title that nobody should ever look for or play. There's literally nothing good to say about it. At all. The cart will fry your NES, the manual is made from baby seal skin, and the box is made of poison ivy. Absolutely no one should possess this smoldering garbage pile of a game.

At least until I pick up a copy.

Lol. It's been under valued for years. You shouldn't have any trounle finding one.

The game actually has a real plot, makes you wonser how other NES games couldn't figure it out.

Awesome game. This game is the total package. Cool story/theme, varied gameplay, tight mechanics, rewarding challenge, quality graphics & sound. An underrated, uncommon game at a reasonable price that's worth owning.

If you like Lone Ranger with all it's mixed up variety gameplay, then check out Laser Invasion, another Konami action game with lots of variety.

If you have a flash cart or don't mind emulation give Getsu Fuuma Den a try.  It's been fan translated and reminds me of Lone Ranger in a lot of ways.

Another lesser known but awesome NES Konami title would be Monster in My Pocket. Very cool.

It's ok

I mean there aren't a lot of Western games on the NES so that makes it kind of novel. It has a good bit of variety, overhead stages, side scrolling stages, shooter stages, but all of those are done better in other games.

Also $hiiiiit when did this turn into a $40 game. This was a $10 title forever.

It's not the easiest game to find. I'd say it was undervalued at $10; once people started taking notice of it, it shot up.
