The popular 1st-party SNES games that everyone loves to put on pedestals were better when we played them the *first time* on the NES (ALttP, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out!!, etc)

The Wii U was a great console that won't be fully appreciated by the gaming community for another 10 years, at which point everyone will say they always loved it (which I'll call Dreamcast Syndrome).

People who bought the original Xbox (or every Xbox console) are gullible.

I'm not even arguing that! I completely agree! Anything after H3/ODST was a mess!

 

Brandish is a top 50 SNES game

I don't like Donkey Kong Country.

I hate the xBox (OG, 360, Bone) controllers. The staggered analog sticks feel weird and asymmetrical to me. And the 360 D-pad is the worst thing since the plague.

Whoever decided to make SMB 3 without a battery save or password was on the sauce. Yes, you can use warp whistles, but I don't want to skip over parts of a game. I want the whole experience, but I also don't want to leave my console on or sit so long my ass becomes fused to the chair.

Much of the SNES and Genesis library looks too cartoony for me. Except the Adventures of Batman and Robin, because then you're actually playing a cartoon, and it's awesome.

Shame him! 




I'd have to come clean and say I really dislike the Pokemon series.  I could never get into them.... creepy little creature that Pikachu!  But I about died when this one was made:

I've never enjoyed any of the Smash or Mario Party games. Sue me.

Dreamcast Syndrome... I love it. Couldn't agree more about the Wii U. I absolutely love mine.

My favorite N64 title as well as DK title is Donkey Kong 64.

This made me way to happy

- Nintendo's in-game music is just "meh". Good background music and no more. I listen to tons of game OSTs through out the day. Super Metroid is the only one that's in any rotation.
- The Virtual Boy deserved a better chance.
- I prefer Sonic to Mario but this is the only SEGA franchise that beats Nintendo in any way.
- I prefer to console-game rather than PC-game. However, if a blockbuster title comes out on PC and a console... I'd rather play the PC version. It's very contradictory and even I can't explain this one.

Video games suck.

If it had a port of Doom, even a shortened version, and maybe some other FPS games, it probably would have done better.

I'd say Sonic games are and always have been shit, but is that really an unpopular opinion?

I submit that you haven't gone far enough, sir. A game can't age well if it was never that good to begin with.

I guess another unpopular opinion is that I personally gave the WiiU the benefit of the doubt for its potential right up till near the very end...I've no doubt if Nintendo had just not given it that funny name that made people think it was a Wii going to college or something and ESPECIALLY if they hadn't done those STUPID commercials with those kids (way to go Nintendo self-stereotype yourself and us fans!!), the WiiU would've done FAR better. Maybe we would've actually got some sort of (3)DS Player out of it or something that'd let us play (3)DS games on the TV like the Game Boy Player does for GBA.  

Zelda 2 is my favorite Zelda and I've played and really enjoyed every game in the series (except those 2 crappy DS games...yuck)

DuckTales 2 is better than the first DuckTales

Life simulation games (Animal Crossing, the Sims, etc.) are extremely boring and I don't even understand why they exist

I strongly dislike games that push online multiplayer and reviewers that knock games for lack of online multiplayer or poor online multiplayer. I get much more enjoyment out of good single player and/or local multiplayer. I will give a pass to games like Mario Kart that are good for couch multiplayer but also offer online multiplayer

I could not get in to Fire Emblem Fates despite multiple tries. I'm a HUGE Fire Emblem series fan but that was the only game in the series that just annoyed me

Super Soccer is a great game. When I finally beat Germany and unlocked Team Nintendo it was epic to 10-year old me. When I could beat Team Nintendo, it was one of my first major gaming accomplishments. I haven't enjoyed any soccer games since (sorry FIFA fans...actually I'm not sorry)

The Pokemon series peaked with Silver/Gold//Crystal and the closest they've come to being that good since were the re-makes of Green/Red and Gold/Silver

Grandia 2 (dreamcast) is a great game

Final fantasy X is a GReat rpg

I wish I didn't commit thousands of hours on diablo 2 and wow. It made me appreciate every other game less.

Mario kart 64 is 10x better than super mario kart

Dr mario is better than Tetris
