Looks like some label peeling is happening, but it's in nicer condition than some of the ones that have been for sale. Good starting price, too.

Is it just me, or does that BIN look awful tempting.

I'd want to see the back label before getting too excited.

The copy listed in the price check sub-forum is much more appealing to me. It has a nice label, a back label confirming it's validity, and a chain-hole that adds to the service center allure. That's more my style.

I don't know if this is the actual guy since I can't match up any of the information between the eBay and nesforums profiles.

I saw this when it first got listed, and it seemed a wee bit steep for me at $800. Now, the $250 bid however, I can see going somewhere. BIN will get killed.

Check out this really awesome WTB thread that I found, I heard this guy wants games at the cheapest rate possible!  Now on the look out for Unlicensed NES!

Is it me or do most of the Zelda Test Carts look like someone (sloppily) swapped a common Zelda label to a Yellow test cart?
The labels are almost always peeled back and not even close to being straight.

Which is exactly why I said I don't get excited until I see a back label. The front label is far easier to forge than the back label. It would take some serious effort to fake the back label.

It is the same guy.  We live in the same neighborhood and I have sold him games and one item on ebay in the past.  You can check his old feedback, I'm in there.

Even still, this is really fishy to me.  When I first saw that post I got the impression that he just saw the games and hadn't bought them yet, wanting to check on their value.  Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I thought.  I inquire about the whereabouts and he an hour later says, "got them 2 for 30.00."  I initially thought he said that so I wouldn't go and try to scoop them up the next day from under him.  I mean, why wouldn't you say that you got them right off the bat?

Dan and I both asked for pics and he posts pics of the cart that are all over google.  Type 'zelda test cart' into google images and see what comes up.  Within the first two rows you'll see at least one pic not linked from the ebay auction.  Also, he didn't post pics of the other cart.  I thought this was him trying to further throw me off.  I could be completely paranoid and dillusional but it seems really sketchy to me.  I mean I would try to throw off another local who would try and scoop up my find, wouldn't you?

Now it's up for auction with those same pics so who the hell knows what is going on?  I asked if I can come and see the cart in person as I am interested in it.  If it's a go I'll let everyone know what the scoop is, but I have a feeling I'm not getting an invite.

Unfortunately with all the money to be made on this stuff you always have to be on the offensive. Unless he can provide a picture
of the back I would just assume fake on this...

This game keeps popping up more and more (and in more and more sketchy condition)... I honestly don't see it as that rare.

I think the biggest problem with these, is they are too easy to fake, since they are basically just a zelda game, right, no rom diffs at all?

I wouldn't touch one unless both the front and back label were minty minty.

I love paying ~$400 more for yellow plastic!

But yea, I wonder how much he actually got for it.

I think everyone with a yellow Zelda cart should take a pic like this...I would showcase them on my site for certain (though I'm sure no one's as handsome as you Kev)
