So...did a quick search here in EE and didn't find a dedicated thread to GoT.  I know a ton of you watch it, what do you think so far for Season 6?

So far going as I expected...
* Jon Snow - I found it quite hard to believe he had died died based on all the rumors.  Lol, had a feeling the Fire Witch Lady (Myrcella?) was going to be involved as she was running up to Castle Black after he was killed.  So now that he is back alive, I assume he'll be the leader of the new taken over Wildings group?

* Lanisters - they seem to be going downhill continually, almost thought Jaime was going to get killed off last night.  Really digging the Mountain or whoever Cersei's bodyguard is.  Look forward to seeing him do some more damage.

* Boltons - that was a bit unexpected last night, Ramsey went apeshit and basically took over by force.  Have a feeling he will get in over his head.

* Dragons/Tyrion - I knew it was very unlikely, but despite Tyrion being my favorite I was kind of hoping one of the dragons would eat him!  They are free now, what kind of havoc will they cause lol.

What else is going on?  The deal with Sansa and Lady Breon (sp?) is interesting.  The sand women look to be coming for the Lannisters I assume.  Theon looks to be running home.  Darneryus wasn't in last night's episode...same with her bodyguard fella that is turning into a reptile guy .

What do you guys think so far?  And yes I'm sure I butchered some of the names.  I don't read the books, just binge watched seasons 1-5 and am now watching s6 with the rest of the world.

Jon Snow coming back was the least shocking shocker ever. We had already seen Beric Dondarrion brought back to life via prayer to the Lord of Light, so with Melisandre the Red lady at castle black Jon's fate was overtly telegraphed. They should have just gotten it out of the way in the first 5 minutes of the premiere... waiting till the end of episode 2 and then playing it like it was a big surprise was mildly annoying. I think the new force will clearly be a unified between the loyal night's watch men and the freefolk. Not sure what banner they will ride under... probably not the night's watch. Maybe Jon Snow will be the new "King of the North"?

Cersei's bodyguard is the zombified version of Sir Gregor "Sir Robert Strong" returned to a form of life by the Maester after getting poisoned fighting the Viper. I look forward to seeing him smash some more heads.

Am I the only one that enjoyed Bran's portion the most? I think he is going to play a huge role is teaching us a ton of backstory this season. I mean, I don't think it was coincidence we saw Lyanna for the first time and Jon came back, in the same episode.

I just hope Ramsay gets what's coming to him, sooner than later. I know he's done really terrible things already... but sicking his dogs on a defenseless mother and newborn was just too far.

And yeah, Jon Snow. Definitely underwhelmed with how they did it. I was just like "Seriously, come back to life already!"

I'm a huge fan of the series. Read all the books before the show started and absolutely love the fact that I have no idea what is going to happen next with most of the story lines. I think we will find out the history of Jon's actual birth next week. The episode title hints to as much, so I think we find out that Jon is actually the son of Lyanna and Rhaegar. What would really be cool would be if they reveal that Rhaegar and Lyanna were actually married at the time, making Jon a full-fledged Targaryan. That would have a huge ripple effect to the story.

Ramsey is the new joffrey.

Im assuming jon will leave castle black and the nights watch since technically he shouldnt be obligated anymore since he died. Im eager to see what he does next.

I certainly agree with this, he has gone too far many a times.

I didn't think of Jon being released from his lifetime commitment now that he died...interesting.

Very cool regarding Cersei's bodyguard being "zombified" , that should be fun to watch.

And oh yeah, Bran is back!  That vision of the past is very cool and I can see the show incorporating a lot with that.  Forgot he was gone for the whole last season.

RICKON!!!!!! But his direwolf is dead.

Gregor Clegane definitely wants to start some shit...cannot wait until he becomes unleashed.

Daenerys story is getting a little slow and uninteresting. It may pick up (as shown in the preview for the next episode).

I still love Tyrion though.

Lastly, I think Jon is going to miss Sansa and Brienne arriving at Castle Black since he gave up his watch.

Nice episode last night, I really liked the Bran flashback to his Dad almost getting murdered and how he can now see the truths to the stories he grew up with.

Interesting about Jon, what is he headed?

After watching last episode about Bran's flashback, and his dad's lie story it just proved my theory when I finished 2nd season. Those who we think or portraited in the show as "good" guys are just as bad as the rest.

They seriously need to give something for Tyrion to do. They had a scene where he LITERALLY was talking about how boring things are for him right now. Also, need to give Daenerys something to do too. And while the flashbacks are interesting, what exactly is Bran accomplishing up there in the tree? At least Ayria's and John's plots seem to be moving forward.

Fucking right eh, the feels are real right now, it's pretty dark when you think about what just happened and realistically the white walkers would catch up to her and brand in like 2 seconds. Still love the show tho lol

Might have been my favorite episode this season. Those white walkers crawling down the tunnel was awesome. What I didn't get was after the 3-eyed Raven told Bran that now that the Night King had marked him, he was no longer safe there, why did they stay there and go on more Warging field trips? Why not get the hell out of dodge?

That whole scene on the Iron Islands seemed very forced and very rushed. I'm not liking how that story is getting developed.

Also fuck Bran.

What really else was there to do though? They cut to the point to move their story forward. Not tons of episodes left. Seems like the whole thing was set up for euron to come in and take over. I think most everyone already knew and was behind it.

To me it was weird that Bran didn't immediately leave as well. It's also crazy to consider that based on what happened to Holddoor that everything that has happened to Bran was basically predestined to happen. I just don't know how they are going to get away....

I guess he stuck around so he could finish "becoming the 3-eyed raven" and assume his powers. Apparently this is done through the power of unremarkable flashbacks.

How crazy is it to think about all the bad things that Bran's curiosity has caused? From his own near death to now being responsible for Hodor being Hodor as well as his eventual death as well as the death of Jojen Reed, the 3-eyed Raven and the last of the Children of the Forest.

Saw a rumor/theory last night that it was Bran who drove the Mad King insane by calling out to him through visions (like he called to his dad). A voice that he could hear but couldn't see. Maybe it has no merit, but seeing the way Hodor was messed up from the outset, its clear that Bran has played a role in events that have already happened

I agree. IMO introducing this whole sort of time travel element into the show isn't a very good idea. To me it suggests that everything is predetermined to happen a certain way which takes away from some of the drama/mystery/etc. Definitely interested to see how they make it work within the show going forward though

Ok, so let me ask you guys...are Bran, the voices from fires for different people in the show, fire Lord/God and the aspect of that religon somehow connected together or may be, just may be...if you know what I mean, I am kind of scared to voice my opinion and sound stupid lol.
