Certainly appears to be NOS.  I'm not an expert on how these were sealed or if, but the tape is yellowed and the hinges don't appear to have been opened.

Good buy at $20 shipped IMO.

Sweet.

Bought.

Thanks for posting pics!

Looks like more than ~11 and games start crashing, so that is my top speed now    1943 looks like you are firing a solid line.

Well hell, if you'r emessing around with a controller, I've wanted to put rapid fire on select and try it in Metroid.  If you HOLD down fire, and mash select with no missles, she fires faster.  With missles it can fire more than one missle.

It has a slider for the turbo. When its on full it is stupid fast. Note: I still have that broken one if anyone is a wizard with a soldering gun.

whats it doing that its broken? I just took mine back apart and most of the common issue things like rubber pads are all easily accessible. there are 2 pin headers (a 3 pin and a 4 pin) that attach the boards together, but maybe its just dirty. a broken wire might be able to be fixed too without taking the board apart.

Features:
An identical D-pad to the standard 004 controllers
Separate turbo functionalities for both the A and B buttons
A and B buttons are identical to the 004 if not even more responsive.
The controllers corners are rounded
It is bigger, which is good because we are all bigger than we were in 1989
It has a headphone jack
It has a volume switch for the headphones
It has a switch that enables a sort of faux stereo sound

I have a bunch of these. Definitely on par with my dog bone.

just remembered that i have the Famicom version also. Its black and doesn't have the rca jack. I have not tried to use the headphone jack on it though so i'm not sure how that works.

I also realized that was the one I took apart last year as my NES one was pretty dirty

It is just dead. no response. The three-pin area you circled is loose on the bottom board. Thats all i can see wrong with it unless i could get deeper into the guts. But ive no soldering gun... so.

Yeah, sounds like its not an easy fix then.  wonder if someone stepped on it or something and broke the boards from each other.

Famicom expansion port has an audio out pin, no RCA needed.

Cool. figured that was probably the case.  I never actually used the headphone jack on either of these controllers.

Move over Amiibos, there's a new sheriff in town!

I've always had mixed feelings on threads like this. It's nice to get a heads up on a cool product that flew under the radar but that in turn helps drive the hype train and can lead to inflated prices.

No one will remember this controller in a few days.  Seeing how it's been hyped before.

And that's just off the first page of a google search, removing the buying\selling.  Yea, no one will remember it in a month or three.
