Hello and welcome to the auction for the limited edition copies of E.T. that will be available. This game was available through a sneaky mail-in order form included in (almost) all copies of Larry. The only way to get the game, prior to this auction, was through the mail.
This is the only way this game will ever be available online (unless someone who owns a copy re-sells their cartridge, obviously!)
This auction will be run the same way as the Nintendo World Championships NintendoAge Edition, the Homebrew World Championship cartridges, the Study Hall Limited Edition, and the Larry LImited Edition auction. For those of you that weren't around when these auctions took place, It works like this:
- The auction will run for an undisclosed amount of time.
- You only get to make ONE bid. This will be your ONLY BID.
- When I close the auction, the top 10 bids will each receive one limited edition copy.
So as you can see, you need to place a bid that you think is high enough to win. And you can't wait until the last second to see what everyone else has bid, because I could end the auction at any moment before you even place a bid.
To give you an idea of what you need to bid, keep in mind the Study Hall Limited Edition auction LOW END price was ~$250. The Larry Limited Edition auction LOW END price was $412. I'm not say you need to bid $250 to win one of these, and I'm not saying you need to bid $412 to win one of these... just trying to give some context. Some people bid ~$100 during these previous auctions and then were upset that they couldn't bid again when the prices started skyrocketing. So I will say this here and now.

When the auction has ended, you will be required to send your payment to me via paypal or personal check within a week of the auction end. At the same time, I have a week from the point you send me payment to get off my butt and mail you your copy.
The cost of shipping is NOT included in your bid. You must add $10 to your bid when you are sending payment, to pay for shipping. I want this package to arrive to you THE SAME WAY IT LEAVES MY HOUSE. I've put too much time, effort, energy, and money into this to ship this half-assed and it wind up arriving to you damaged. Please understand this.
If you live in Canada, please add an additional $10 to your bid on top of the $10 shipping charge. It costs more to ship it to you.
If you live overseas, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
This game is
unique in the fact that there is
on-board memory storage. No, there is no battery backup that will fail on you. This is flash memory. All of your high scores will stay on this cartridge FOREVER! In 20 years when your kids have kids, you'll have no problem showing them who the real ET champion is!
Included contents are as follows:
* High quality box with cloth covered styrofoam inside, to allow cartridge to sit properly and luxuriously.
* High quality, thick cardstock, individually numbered outer sleeve with high quality artwork.
* Green limited edition numbered cartridge with different label artwork than regular edition.
* Cardstock-weighted instruction card. This game is a lot more fun when you know how to play!
* A freaking novel! The completely unknown sequel,
The Book of the Green Planet, explaining what happens after E.T. leaves Earth!
* Homemade small potted flowers, referencing a secret in the game! These were made by Mrs. Benihana. They are also individually numbered on the bottom of the pot!
* Homemade, hand-crafted/hand-stitched E.T plush.
ONLY THE TOP FIVE HIGHEST BIDS GET THIS ITEM! My poor friend realized after agreeing to make me 11 of them that they take forever to create, so she wussed out after 6. If you want this item (and they looks so damn cute!) make sure you bid accordingly!
