I am totally down for adding a poll   guillavoie added one, but there seems to be some sort of glitch with it right now and it isn't showing up.  We will continue to work on the issue.

Song #3 all the way!

My dad tried Super Mario Bros. when we got it, didn't like it. Played some Duck Hunt, didn't like it. Played some R.C. Pro Am, liked it, but hard to control. Got his hands on Rad Racer, and every day after work he would come home and play. He beat the game before any of us kids got through the desert stage 3! To this day, Rad Racer is the only game he'll play.

This was the first game my family ever bought for our NES (not counting the SMB/DH that came with the system). I might have to get in on this.

I love the music on this game.  I use the second song as the ring tone on my phone for whenever my Dad calls me (this was probably his favorite game back then).

This was one of the first NES games that I had as a kid and the last track still gives me some trouble. I've managed to crash once and still finish it, but you have to run a near perfect race to clear it with any time remaining.

I keep getting hung up on Athens. Hopefully I can make it to that 8th stage at some point!

The cars seem to get a lot more agressive starting with the next track (Los Angeles) and it just gets tougher from there. It can get frustrating since you have to start completely over with each attempt, so hang in there!

The fact that Doug completed with the game with 66,504, and I perished mid-course 3 with my shitty playing at 20k, leads me to believe that we're going to be stepping all over each other with minor score updates this week. Can't wait!

I'm swamped with stuff IRL this week, so I doubt that I'll have time to make a run at my record score from last time. With next week being the first bye week of the season, I'm working on the idea of doing an optional game just for fun in case anybody would be interested.

It took me a couple of times to beat the first one. I found it useful to use the breaks on the curves. I am sure there are those who do not use it and get by just fine.

Is anyone actually doing this with 3D glasses? I have this CIB but sadly no glasses (and surprisingly, I don't think there is a single pair around my house). I'd be curious which scores are received 100% in '3D Mode'.

Is Highway Star acceptable for this one? Because I will totally play the whole thing with the Famicom 3D headset if it is.

I haven't yet this week but have in the past.  If I can find my 3D glasses lying around somewhere, I'll play a run in 3D mode (or as much of it as I can handle!)

I don't have a pair now, but I remember trying them as a kid and not caring for the experience.

As long as everything about the game is identical to the North American version of Rad Racer, it should be fine.
