That looks like the regular Game Genie to me without the plastic handle. I always thought the top loading one was just a little piece that attached to the actual game genie that had a smaller board so it didn't mess up your top loading NES. Correct me if I am wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time I have been wrong for sure :-/

I'm pretty sure you are right. The toploader Game Genie piece is black with a plain purple label if I'm not mistaken. Speaking of the top-loader Game Genie piece, anybody know whether it came with a white paper "manual" sheet? I recall seeing a pic of it once, but the last few pieces on eBay didn't seem to have this manual.

Doh! Yep, you guys are right -- I didn't look closely enough. The top loader Game Genie's are black, and if you look close, you can tell that one is gold.
