It's tough they both have groundbreaking series.

I would say Capcom just because of the variety of stuff they offer and the Fighters/RE/Megaman are some of the best games in their genres.

BUT Konami has Metal Gear and Castlevania.............. which are two of my favorite series of all time.

Konami for me, because i am not much of a fighter fan these days and i never got into megaman. But i can totally see why a lot of people would pick capcom.

Generally Capcom has less "turds" but really it all depends on how you want to look at it. TMNT the Arcade game, Castlevania 3, etc are amazing. But so are Ducktales and the Mega Man series.... that's just being general..... so you then have to split hairs based on what you like.

Just stopped in to see the conversation.

Really hard to choose. Mega Man vs. Contra. That's too hard to choose, and I can't do it. I don't want to! Don't make me choose! Actually, if there was a poll, I would pick one.

Probably Capcom overall. Given Mega Man, Street Fighter Series, and the Disney NES games.... Even though they were basically Mega Man clones. Scrooge McMegaMan. Mega Mermaid.

Certainly my two favourite game developers, that's for sure. 60% of the time, it's Capcom or Konami everytime.

Konami, their NA HQ used to be in my hometown and I drove by it every day going to and from practice and thought it was so cool.

I love me some 2D Castlevania, TMNT, and the Metal Gear Solid Series.

Capcom for the win just for ducktales. Let's also consider probably two of the best fighters ever: street fighter and Marvel vs Capcom. As much as I like Castlevania, Resident Evil is the much better series in the horror genre, and sweet home is cool as well.

Got all 4 Dragon Warriors CIB, Thanks Everyone. Now looking for Dragon Quest ( Famicom ) 1, 2, and 3. Also a box and guide for Earthbound.

Capcom definitely has the stronger library, especially if you expand to include arcade games.

Ghouls N' Ghosts is probably my favorite franchise, but I think Konami gets my vote. I think Konami easily wins the NES generation, but when it gets to the SNES it gets dicey.

Konami SNES - Mystical Ninja, Axelay, Metal Warriors, Batman and Robin, Turtles, Sparkster, Castlevania, Prince of Persia, Cybernator, Sunset Riders, Contra

Capcom SNES- Megaman X series, Super Ghouls N Ghosts, Demons Crest, U.N. Squadron, Mickeys Magical Quest, Aladdin, Street Fighter, Beat em ups

Very nearly a tie but I love Contra so Konami by a little. I definitely think they are or were the two greatest third-party developers.

On NES Capcom and Konami are even. SNES through PS2 Konami by far, we got Super Castlevania, Rondo of Blood, Symphony of the Night, and Metal Gear Solid.

NES I would say Konami - they cover so many genres with great games. Even when you don't include Ultra games.
SNES - Capcom. They sorta switched roles on the SNES, but Konami did branch to the Genesis.
Genesis - Konami. Play Bloodlines and Contra HC.
Saturn - Capcom. Pretty easy choice.
PS1 - Capcom. My initial answer was actually Konami, and even though I'd argue they have the highest ranking game(s) between the two, Capcom wins by sheer numbers.
N64 - Konami. What did Capcom even do on the N64?
Dreamcast - Capcom. Man did they help make the Dreamcast the amazing console that it is.
PS2 - Konami. I admit I wasn't a major PS2 guy but the games that I remembered were Konami ones.
Gamecube - Capcom. Admittedly, you could make a case to support Konami.
Post Gamecube - who cares. Neither company is what they were but at least Capcom seems to be trying to do awesome.

Asking me to pick between Capcom and Konami is like asking me to pick my favorite child.

Got any of these for sale? Sell them to me. I also buy other NES Publisher inserts, and even GB/GBC, and SNES inserts too.
