Thought it would be a good idea to have a thread to keep track of all the deadbeat sellers and general bad persons to deal with to help members avoid negative transactions. With the recent 'Hounder-ism' - we have to be more dilligent in our dealings within the community as well as with sellers outside of it.

So, if you have had any negative dealings with sellers, then please post or pm me so we can keep our community safe and secure!!

I think you have to have actually been scammed to be added to the is thought. Otherwise we will just get a long list of stupid sellers. For each person that gets added you should have to post your story of what happened.

I hate DK oldies.   Didn't get scammed, just don't like to deal with.

the only think I dislike about DK is stock photos, shipping prices and insurance requirments

well I've got a Games_Palace bad deal in the making. Bought a 3-screw DK, even confirmed the picture was of the exact game, and of course I get 5-screw in the mail. We'll see how far they go to fix things (if at all) but I sent a message at 3 this afternoon and no response yet. :/

DK Oldies annoys me with stock photos and their 3rd party checkout/payment process.  They showed a rare label variation in the listing and shipped me an uber-common one.  They did give me a refund, but it was a very long, drawn out, annoying process.

You know what the worst part of DK is, HE KNOWS that he is F*cking us on the 3 screw DK. I too bought his DK Math because of the 3 screw picture. I sent him 3 emails through eBay and even talked to him on either Nes Forums or Nes World (can't remember which now) and he assured me he had both 3 and 5 screw DK Math's and that I would get a 3 screw like in the pic. Well of course I get the 5 screw and he just says that he has too much going on to check for something like that before it gets shipped. I even joined his damn eBay user group and posted about it there before hand but no dice. Really steams me now reading this on here because it is apparent that he knows what he is doing!!

DKOldies is getting a special category all his own. Just read Braveheart's post above to get the jist about what he is about. He screws with buyers through bad customer service, stock photos, empty promises and common trickery.

I bought a Ninja Gaiden III from him and had to return it because the cart's label was all crapped on - scratched and missing pieces. Talked to someone there who said to send it back and they would gladly send me a better copy. Sent it back - nothing for a month. Not even after constant emails wondering what was going on. Finally got the game two months later - no apologies, nothing.

So....here you are DKOldies, you've earned it!!

I've had a bad experience with dkoldies too. Early on in my eBay days, I bought a River City Ransom cart described as in "Great condition", and when it came it had marker writing on it. I returned it, and the one I received in exchange had melted plastic. So, they became the first eBay seller I decided to boycott.

Never use 'The Vintage Toy Box'

Literally some of the most stupid people I have ever come across on ebay. Horrible customer service and when you do get replies it makes no sense because they already forgot about you. BEWARE.

I get a email saying they offered a 2nd chance offer to another person which is B.S because I paid 3 days after auction its the fact that it did not sell for more than what they had wanted it to......... not that I'm defending anyone's behavior...but michael that toploader deal it is quite possible for someone to have 2 of those - i know i do...so if they want to offer another up to the second highest bidder that's their option

No, I paid for it and they said they were going to refund my money because they gave a 2nd chance offer after 3 days. I mean that is alot of BS. Look at the description the person says stuff like if bid goes over 200 they will throw in extras

He intentionally screwed me on a Namco Pac Man I bought from him off ebay. The picture was crappy but I didnt think he was purposely trying to screw me, but now I know better. Here is his picture:

I emailed him telling him I was not happy with the game and wanted to know if he could make it right somehow, and this was his response:

I sent several more emails and he basically just told me to get ^%#ed.

LOL.  Is his name really Dumas?  Remember that Dumas/Dumbass job interview commercial?  Too funny.

Maybe thats what his problem is, hes just a dumbass! Yeah thats his name, according to paypal. I also filed a dispute with them about this.

File a paypal dispute. Just be a complete pain in the ass to him. That is the ultimate shitty move a seller can make.

Yeah this guy pissed me off. I did file a dispute but I closed it. It wasnt worth it because according to PayPal I would have had to send the game back to him at my expense even if it was decided in my favor to get a $5.50 refund... Not really worth it. I'm just out the money on this one. I added him to my blocked list though, and I would suggest everyone else should too.
