Surprised how much I struggle with Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors 2. I don't remember it being that difficult of a game.
At least I've been at the final boss(es). I had forgotten how clumsy the hit detection is, or at least to what degree. Things fly into you all the time and its almost a game of chance if you kill it or if it takes away your whole lifebar. A good player can control it a little, but I refuse to believe its possible to completely master it. Its weird too, because up to Level 5 you have 2 extra continues, but when you get there the game take it away.

Yeah, you really need to get all the 1ups thoughout the game to make sure you can beat the final boss.

Ironsword is... frustrating. I only reached the third stage when we played it for the weekly contests. The misleading cover art depects a big, bad ass warrior like Rastan or something. Nope. You're a dorky little knight who hops around and gets his ass kicked by the constantly respawning enemies.

Haha, yes the cover is infamous with its muscular Conan-ish Fabio (its literally Fabio) but the guy you play look more like Bender from Futurama. I think if the hit detection was more balanced this game would more mentioned among the NES classics.

This may be a bit confusing, because that's not including the 15 games automatically added to the list, so while Chessmaster says 104 on the front page, I have listed as 89 for my stats. I have a feeling I'm one of the few on the site who enjoys playing Wayne Gretzky Hockey. It's a crappy game, but it has some charm to me. It was one of my childhood games.
