I've technically beaten Golf, according to the gamefaqs list.

Shot -10, if that helps any.

Well I'll add you in then

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I *almost* had Operation Wolf. I was testing it to sell and go sucked in, died on the end guy.

I beat metroid from the half way point continuing from a password from 2009, if that counts enough, put me down for metroid.

As long as the password was one you earned yourself, I see no real reason to DQ it...unless it was a code you'd previously used to beat the game with. If I were to say that was okay, I'd just reload my Dragon Warrior II save and slap Hargon like a little bitch If it was a run you'd put on hold though, I have no issue adding it.

And Operation Wolf is such a good game! Keep slugging away at it, I'm sure you'll get it

It was indeed a password from a beaten game. I went back to reb-beat it because I didnt get a screenshot the first time.
Ive beat Operation Wolf before, I was just hoping I could do it my first time without playing for months. It was always one of my childhood favorites. My father and I would play it a lot, and Top Gun... lol
If nobody beats OW I'll slay it in the later months, seeing as it takes all of 10 or so minutes to beat

Sounds good Herb. We still got 9 months for this, not like everything needs to be done today

It's much easier just to play the game with a laptop and google

You have to finish like 50 cases and then you'll get Carmen sandiegos case.
I was giving it a go months past, but after like 30 cases I got a promotion, and it was to the rank you get for like 15 cases. So I must have got my passwords mixed up and screwed myself out of like 10-15 cases and several hours. Went back on the shelf after that one

God damn dude, congrats

Tried to knock off Wheel of Fortune featuring Vanna White, but I got jewed in round 4. First time I'd ever lost too, but that's cool, I'll finish it pretty quick anyway

I beat Wizards & Warriors in January.
That's not a big accomplishment, but still a quick help for the project.

True enough man, I'll list both you guys' as well as my newest - just knocked of Wheel of Fortune featuring Vanna White now. Knew it wouldn't take long.

3 in one day, including 2 for my personal completion list...not too shabby

this year I've beat:

Ninja Gaiden III,
Bubble Bobble,
Double Dragon III
Guerrilla War
Blues Brothers
Little Nemo: The Dream Master
Robocop 2
Shatterhand

I'm sure, because I know I beat these using the Powerpack, and I got that in January.

I took down Ice Hockey and Wayne Gretzky's Hockey over the last hour. I'll see if I can beat another game before I head off to bed.

My NES collection count: 757 games (16 to go for a full set)

Latest Purchase(s): Snow Brothers

Pretty sweet thread.

One problem though, I didn't beat Metal Storm this year, I double-checked the NES completion list and it was absolutsyd who did it recently.
Though I have beaten it in the past, I'd hate to take credit from someone else on this thread.

Check off Arch Rivals. I used Natural High to beat all other 3 teams today.

I also had a saved game from Pirates that I just needed to load and retire to become Kings Advisor. If you want me to loot all over again, I have no problems sailing the Carribean Sea and annihilating the Spanish Armada while searching for the Aztec gold, matey! Arrrrr...

DMG, I already said we should beat the games this year. I have no issue with a file started previously, as long as it's never been previously finished. Since that's the case with Pirates, I'd rather not list that one...like I said, I'd knock of Dragon Warrior II like that...hell, I could do that with Romance of the Three Kingdoms II as well. Just doesn't seem like it's really fair to do it that way.

Drew, of course it counts, they were done this year I'll update in a few seconds with all games listed thusfar

Oh, and Maydogg, thanks for your honesty man. Could've kept the point for yourself and nobody would've been the wiser, so it speaks volumes about your character Fixed the credit on Metal Storm now.
