Don't have to be honest, board pics will take a few days, don't have the tools to get it open.
is this very important to have and yes where do you look at?

Important for selling it but not important for estimating a value (which I have no insight on, sorry). My semi-pro opinion is that this looks real enough to me to be taken seriously.

I wonder if any other prototypes of Rodland exist. Where did you get it? Where are you located?

As with any niche item, it is hard to make a solid guess on price. Throw it up on ebay as an auction, that is really the only way to know.

It is a real development board and it has an EPROM with a manufacturing date that would match a Rodland prototype. That is all that can be evaluated from the pictures, but it's enough to personally convince me of its authenticity.

As for "what it's worth," the only way to estimate what a prototype of a released NES game is worth is to look at past purchase prices. If you search on eBay for "NES prototype" and limit it to sold items, I'd say it puts you somewhere in the $150-400 range.

It is definitely the real deal. I don't follow PAL prototype prices as closely as I do NTSC so I can't be much help there. Just keep in mind when you are doing research that PAL prototypes generally go for less that NTSC. Also Rodland didn't make it to the states.

One caveat I've observed of this is if you can find a copy that is very-obviously modified so that it could be produced for the US, then it could be worth a little more.  People like unrelease protos and even if this game was released in Europe, having the only US version would be desirable.

But, I'm primarily a GB proto collector so I have not clue what this is worth for the NES.  Was this a good game?  Is it/was it well loved in Europe?

I can't tell you if the game is any good, i tried like 5 min and it was funny, the originals go for €200 - €500 what i have seen.
