He is pretty big. I am 6' 4" tall and about 240 and he is bigger than me. I think I shocked a few people at how big I was, lol.

Here is my best score of the weekend though. Big thanks to bunnyboy for this one. Can't beat a real gold NWC for $20, it has a good home now

nah, that was bunnyboy's real gold NWC, he let me hold it for a pic. Then we thought it would be funny for a laugh to put the $20 price tag on it hehe I would have at least given him 30 for it

I did pick up that spare Goldenkey off DreamTR. He had them for good prices so I figured I might as well snag another one. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet.

Nice pickups Mr. Tall. I didn't take any pics of my pickups and I'm way too lazy to list it all. I did do an official count however, and it turns out I picked up exactly 49 CIB NES games, of which the box is an 8/10 or better on every single one. The downside is that 15 of the carts are in terrible condition and have to be replaced. I didn't want to bother opening every box to inspect before I bought, but next time I guess I'll have to. I also picked up an NWC repro and a Sudoku blue cart.

As for non-NES stuff: 4 CIB Vectrex, 6 sealed 7800, 14 loose 2600 (which is a real accomplishment since it's so damn hard to find any games you need when you're pushing 300) 4 CIB SMS, 2 loose SNES, 5 TG16 in jewel case, THunder Castle CIB for INTV, and finally.... one loose commodore cart!

BTW Jason, was the pic of me with the Gold NWC taken on your camera or Mike's?

-------------------------

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

Did you know that Gary Kitchen and David Crane were going to be at CGE? I can't imagine you randomly stumbled into them and had carts for them to sign, or did you find out that they were there, and buy those games from a vendor to have signed?

Fixed LinkHere ya go Basil I don't think anyone killed your puppy or rapped your mother in this pic. You look a tad happy in fact, prob cause you have a 10k game in your hand

Nick, the CGE website has a list of all the keynote speakers that were attending. So I knew they were both coming so I backed in the carts and got the autographs. I saw both loose carts at the expo though so I could have snagged them as well. Steve Woita was also in attendance, he programmer Tengen Super Sprint but I never found him sadly.

Skank, the Zelda II Hong Kong is a double for me turns out so it will be in my store soon.

Jared, the Golden Key is a odd adapter made by Sachen. It is for NTSC, PAL and Secam conversion. It looks very similar to a Game Genie. It is a double for me as well, not sure exactly what I am going to do with it yet. I love Sachen stuff though and they are not easy to find.

WTB Cdn sealed black boxes, sealed Cdn first party titles.    I.e. the "mattel" Cdn boxes with both french and english.   Mainly black boxes, zelda, link, and tyson, but let me know what you have.    I am interested in anything I don't already have!

Make plans for next year man. Start saving a little each week now! I think the NintendoAGE crew will have a much bigger presence come next year and will be worth attending for sure.

I'll have to come one of these days...and I'll probably have to bring some major $$$ along with me...don't want to get caught with only $50 when there's going to be stuff I know I'll want that'd cost more than that.

I was talking with you earlier about this NGD. Next year NintendoAge has to be well represented at CGE, with at least 25 members attending, 40+ members to be optimistic.

I might consider trading mine away. You have a trade list anywhere?

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."
