Drop a list of the games that you've finished this year here and go ahead and add updates as the list of games you've finished increases.
I'd like it if we could all keep the list to games that we've finished for the first time.  I mean, I did finish Legend of Zelda this year, but I won't be listing it here since I first beat it years and years ago.

I envision this thread as

a) a bragging ground
b) somewhere to keep track of the games you've conquered this calendar year
c) a place for us to pat each other on the back

I really like this new forums section BTW.

Here's my current list.  Not too impressive numbers-wise, but I'm working on it.  Hopefully I'll be able to add Rocketeer in a couple of weeks.

- Robocop
- Kickle Cubicle
- Star Wars (JVC)
- Darkwing Duck

-------------------------
Currently playing;
NES - WWF King of the Ring, Dragon Warrior IV
DS - Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, DK Jungle Climber
Wii - Link's Crossbow Training

I only keep track of games that I've finished for the first time, so my list is somewhat small as well:

Superman - 01/01/07
Cliffhanger (No-Death Run) - 01/08/07
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja - 01/16/07
Low G Man: The Low Gravity Man - 03/21/07
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest - 06/02/07
Alien Syndrome - 07/21/07
Wacky Races - 12/15/07
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - 12/25/07

Currently working on: Xexyz

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

I haven't been able to play as much this year as I'd have liked, as I've only finished:

Ghosts 'n Goblins - took a lot of continues to beat it twice through, but I eventually got pretty decent. Can get to level 5 without a continue pretty consistently now.

Other than that, I find myself playing a lot of games with no ending like the black box titles. If I can ever find the time I'd like to add other early Capcom and Konami games to this list (Castlevania, Commando, Rush'n Attack). I'd also like to beat the computer in a match of black box Volleyball and beat level 5 on Tennis.

I like to take an hour or so and beat Jaws every once in awhile.  That sub kicks major ass with the 4 score turbo engaged.

Games I've beaten for the first time in 2007:

-Alien Syndrome
-Amagon
-Rush 'N Attack (Yeah! Finally!)
-Adventures of Tom Sawyer
-Whomp 'Em

My mantra, as worded by SamSpade on 06/12/12:
I don't resell to fund my collection, I don't treat this hobby like a second job, I don't care if my collection is worth ten bucks or ten thousand because I never plan on selling it. Seriously, what does the value have to do with anything if you never plan on selling? Speculation doesn't mean jack shit to me at this point, I just want to play my nes games...

I got through Street Fighter 2010 tonight.  Final stage is very unfair until you figure out boss patterns.

I don't really keep track, but I played through Mario's Time Machine recently when I tested it. I'm not really into beating NES games that much, but I knew how little time it took to beat Mario is Missing so I figured this one wouldn't take too long.

Kudos on this one. I've been playing this for a couple weeks now, and I can see this takes more than a little dedication.
I feel I am close to the end of Chapter 3 now, and I feel like I've played for hours and hours.  This is gonna be one long-ass quest!

DynoWarz....What a steaming pile of shite that game is....

The last level took me quite a number of times....Not becuase the game is challenging, mind you...It's becuase the game is a pile of piss.

If the collision detection wasn't horrible enough, the frustrating control is liable to infuriate you.

Also, when your jumping around on moving blocks that are hovering over a bottomless pit, accuracy is everything. It doesn't help when the room is filled up with so many enemies the game is crawling along, and you shoot while mid-jump and manage to kill a few enemies before they hit you causing you to bounce back into the abyss.

Killing those few enemies just costed you your life. You see, when you killed them, the game sped back up to full speed, and caused you to panic, therefor missing your timing on the jump to the next platform.

Add in the fact that you only get one life, then have to continue the whole level over again, and you have a cracked CRT, a broken hand, and a throbber.

I see there are many people in chat, maybe I'll vent in there..

Believe it or not, I've been playing a lot of Volleyball lately... and enjoying it.

It takes awhile to get used to the timing and the way that all of the controls work, but once you do it can actually be quite a bit of fast-paced fun. It helps a lot once you discover good serve technique. At the lower levels, a good serve can be unreturnable while at the higher levels it can badly mess up the flow of the other team's offense.

I've achieved my original goal of beating the computer, as I've topped both Tunisia and Korea so far, so now I have my sights set on the top dog: the USSR. I played a little bit last night against them to see how much work I had to do, and was only losing 5-9 when I had to turn it off.

I'm also still trying to get 1st Degree in the Beginner level of Athletic World for my age/gender. I can get good scores on all of the events, just not in the same run yet.

I play a lot of NES, but hardly ever dedicate the time to completing many games. So far this year I've beaten the following for the first time.

Willow
Dragon Warrior (hard to believe for the first time, eh?)
Rambo

Just beat Top Gun as well!

I recently beat Willow too. It takes an age to level up near the end doesn't it? Actually the same thing can be said for Dragon Warrior too!
