Damn. I should get Guardian Legend while it's still cheap. I've never really played it.

It's been around the same price for years. It's a sleeper or hidden gem for sure. If you like shmups and over head action/adventure games, it's a great one.

Any week now a popular Youtuber could rave about it and the price will immediately shoot up.

I just checked and it looks like the price of Palamedes has shot up since it was played on James and Mike Mondays. I'm glad I bought it when it was obscure and cheap.

I paid $6.78 plus shipping for good condition Palamedes cart in October. Now it's going for $30 or more on Amazon and ebay. Must be because of the nerd. But I am also glad that the game is getting more attention.

One downside I think though is that a lot of people driving that price up are people who bought copies at the low price right after he made the video, and then are reselling it higher. You could probably do that with just about any game they play. Subscribe to them, wait for a video, buy that game, wait a month... Profit?

maybe once i force my way through the beginning it will get better, but my first thoughts are, not a real good shoot em up and a sub par crystalis/loz :/

For general clarification : I made 177,680 (registered through AVS scoreboard), which is 110 points over the current Twin Galaxies record (Scott Kessler). This is my 3rd best score ever (and the 3rd time I beat the TG score), my best being 178,210 (made during the 2009 NA contest). The best NA score is held by the_tall_guy with 178,650 (2009 contest too). The TG champion also has better runs on youtube, so he is really the champion AFAIK).

Anything over 177k is master-class level seriously, you are obviously among the highest rollers we've seen on NA.

I just got a new elgato game capture that I'm gonna use with the AVS. If I get any half way decent scores I'll post em up. You should get one to record your runs. It seems like your pretty close to making history.

Only missing BT&DD from these games... Anyone has a spare copy for (relatively) cheap?  

I bought the elgato game capture HD60. It's a little capture card, you plug it into the TV, the AVS and your computer. Then you download the software and you're good to go. It literally took about 10 minutes from the time I opened the box to recording a game. It's cool as hell. The only thing I'm not sure of yet is if you can submit a score to the scoreboard while it's hooked up. Last night I recorded my run of High Speed for the yearly beat every game thread and I had the scoreboard running too but it wouldn't upload the score when I was done. I'm gonna look into that part.

The only other thing is that if you're thinking about picking one up I would avoid buying the older model elgato. They're known to have a defective USB port. I bought one used on ebay and it was defective and I had to return it.

Not a chance you say? We will see about that! I might have to give you a swift ass whoppin'😝
