Personally, I didn't mind not getting a box. I'd even sell my manual if someone wanted it. My collection is purely cart only. Who knows, I may eat my words one day.

If only 30 people want in, who gets the other 220 boxes?

yeah, i have around 300 games and they are all cart only, neatly arranged on shelves in alphabetical order. since i have ocd, i think i would have a panic attack if i had to figure out where to put a game with a box.

but seriously, i would buy a box for ten. definitely not for thirty. i'd like to start a small collection of CIB NES games that I can some how put on display... probably just my favorites and the ones i really enjoy.

You guys are really over estimating the desire of boxes. Sure, they're great. But people aren't going to fork out $30 for a box.

^no body is estimating anything, we are trying to figure out what the interest is.

CIB releases run 20 more expensive than cart only, and they usually sell 100.

Hence the more votes we can get, the cheaper it's going to be.

There has been more excitement over this game than any of the other releases for good reason, this is homebrew, and an AWeSOME one at that.

There has been plenty of comments in the other thread about it, and right now we already have 13 votes.

We would give them to Sivak or bunnyboy to sell, for their own profit, I am open to any ideas. 

i would buy a box but i wouldn't want to pay more than $10 and it will also have to be very well done and look professional - also, you have to realise that sivak/bunnyboy may not want a bunch of boxes lying around that they may not ever sell so unless they have shown interest the rest of the boxes will have to get stuck with someone else.

Yeah, I am sure somebody would, it's not like they would take up a lot of space, they should be flat after printed, you need to fold them up.  I am thinking it would be a nice size box, but it's not like it would fill up your house or anything.

Who knows, they might sell like crazy on ebay, seeing what the carts are bringing.

If there is an option to do just a run for those interested for a better price, I'm all for it.  I've never done it before, so I don't know.

It would be pretty easy for bunnyboy to put a dropdown menu or radio button to add a box to your BattleKid Order. If people want to buy them, they will. Eventually they WILL all sell.

If it isn't a big deal to Sivak I can do custom boxes in the same way I did Kitty's Catch. This is time consuming and I would estimate approx cost at $25 a box.

In the mean time until I get either Sivak or Bunny's approval I wouldn't even consider doing it... so don't even think of PMing me to ask to make one for you.

That sounds like a good idea, I saw a pick of your Kitty's Catch box.  It was a hard case?  That would be cool.

There's a chance by the end of the week we might get 30 votes, but probably not likely.

For everyone that wants one, there's nothing wrong with making one, unless Sivak objects. I think we should respect what he wants. Waiting to hear from him.

Well, based off the interest we've gotten, I don't think it's feasible to do the normal run.

I wouldn't mind a hard case, makes it unique IMO, although I'd like a regular box just as much.

The box Qix is talking about is the CE box which was cardboard.  The regular release was a hard case.

oh yeah, forgot about the CE, it looked great. i'd pay for one of those!

OK quick update:

Sivak has given us the ok, as long as it has the Sivak games logo, Qix might be working on some artwork, and other details. He or I will keep everyone posted on what the status is : )

I'll gladly pay $25 for one.

Can't we just reuse the art from LE box?
