I think the problem is that if you were to sell it to someone with them full well knowing that it was a re-seal what is stopping that person from selling it as a legitimate seal?

completely different direction with this idea why not just buy some protective plastic cases like justabum has but made to fit the gamecube games then every game would look the same on the shelf.

*edit for some reason I wasn't able to post everything I wrote*

then if/when you decide to sell off your stuff there is no way that anyone should get burned on a reseal down the road.

the game stays the same but looks more pleasing to the eye on the shelf with them all being in  plastic cases

I think I see what you mean.  But is it really my fault if I take every precaution on a game even if another person decides to go the wrong way with it?  At least I would be the one being honest.

don't take this the wrong way but if you re seal a game then you arn't taking every precaustion because there is always a chance that that re-seal could cause others problems down the road.

Daniel, you disappoint me more and more each post you make. I stuck up for you so much when you first showed up here and nearly everyone was making fun of you for your youtube posts and chatroom banter. I really thought you were a good guy that was just misunderstood. If you really don't see what was wrong with what you did before, or with why people don't like what you're asking about... you just shouldn't come back. Just a recommendation.

If everybody had a problem with it then instead of getting me booted from ebay they could have told me how they felt and left the decision up to me as to whether or not I would take the auction off or not.  If I ever got another chance to sell a repro for a high price then I will do it.  Your loss my gain and I really couldn't care less.

nah it's the douchery of the whole situation of lying that MOST people were upset about and with good reason .... I and many others had no problem with it if you didn't say it was rare and found, etc. bs melarchy ... oh and i didn't bother to report you either because i really don't care a whole lot and i'm tired of protecting unassuming fools ... but seriously no bs lying and everything will be tight ... aight??? oh and i'd just do the research yourself (no one will have a problem with it as long as you don't cheat people) ... it will be more helpful because you're just gonna get slammed in this thread and you won't get any help

Okay, I tried to approach this diplomatically and lay things out, but you decided to bring up an old argument that I wasn't even touching. Fine. You've done this to your own thread, good luck.

You also mentioned that you'd disclose to the person you sold these games to. Even if I believed you, that's not the point. I asked you to think about about the person who owns them AFTER that person. You can pledge to be as honest as you're capable of (and since you brought up Pirate Booty, you've proven that when there's profit to be made, you're not above outright lying), but what about the person you sell to. Once resealed games are loose and changing hands, there's no controlling them.

The only way to be completely honest is to take a small loose slip of paper and include it it under the seal for each one you do this to, that says "This is a reseal." That way you don't need to open the games, they look like all of your others in terms of neatness, and if you do ever sell them, well they speak for themselves.

So the question is, if your motives are pure, would you be willing to do this to each game you reseal?

Yeah sure.  I didn't think of that.  If I did reseal a game I wouldn't mind putting in a piece of paper that states that the game is a reseal.

Sorry to bring up an old arguemnet, but, if your not talking about the pirate booty then what were you talking about?

edit*  Damn I feel like an idiot now!  I just reread Dan's post and realized that he never mentioned anything about the past.  Sorry Dan.  Now about the Y fold seal.  I have only been interested in it my self.  Also what does Dan mean by the person that owns the reseal after the person that buys it from me?  That doesn't make much sense to me.

Im sorry I have never spoken to you personally but I have lurked over many of your topics including the pirate booty topic. Even if I personally knew how to make a Y-seal which I don't, (however I do have access to a sealer for DVD's and games) so i'm sure its possible... I dont think I would in a million years tell you how to do it. Not because of what you have done in the past but just the way you have presented yourself in this topic. I would be willing to bet that once you knew how you would never consider putting a piece of paper in each case. With everything you have said what would make anyone believe your intentions are pure? Why dont you make a youtube video of you opening all the games in your collection first and then someone will explain how to make the Y-seal for you.

Even the mention of resealing games makes my blood boil. We already went through all this once with Nick Morgan and I for one don't want to see this happen again. You have already proven that you don't care to take advantage of people via the Pirate Booty incident and that is just one step away from scamming people in my book. I have no respect at all for you now.....

No, I'm not. I saw the videos and thought they were terrible. I was wondering, wtf is wrong with everyone if they like these so much? I quickly ignored the videos and the comments about them, and probably didn't notice. I've always thought something is wrong with marioshroomed. He's a fucking loser. Those videos suck ass, and he pulled one shady ass auction not even having a game and listing it on ebay for $1,000. I also remember reading one of his posts bitching about how he just got a PS3 for Xmas and then wasn't able to play it all day because he had to visit some of his family members. He came off like a 7 year old spoiled brat. Now he has this against him. He's a piece of crap.

Call me crazy, but shouldn't this thread be locked already? There is absolutely NOTHING good that can come from this....

Shroomed - You don't realize it but a LOT of people are biting their tongue here and holding back what they really want to say. Just let this die and stop defending yourself because each time you do you piss more and more people off. It's one thing to apologize for past mistakes, it's another thing to not even understand your past mistakes.

I agree 100%. Regardless of how much people might want to get some steam of their chest when the chance presents itself (in this thread) there can't be much more that hasn't been said. This thread has just become a repetitive bashing, it should just end. Whether Shroom actually understand something or finally learns a lesson from this is his deal, but everyone has said and done as much as they can.

I have a bit less vitriol over the whole thing, but generally agree with you.

I also thought those videos were terrible and just assumed people were being polite.

Personally I am against resealing.I wouldn't want to get a reseal thinking I paid for a legit sealed copy. I think the issue opens a whole can of worms the community wants to keep tightly closed.

I don't really know about the other things the guys are talking about, but it has upset a lot of people.

Shroomer, you're throwing your already suspect reputation into the crapper with threads like this. You know you shouldn't be resealing games, and if you didn't, everyone in this thread has explained to you why resealing is a bad idea.
